The main house is beautiful (some renovation work is ongoing but is unobtrusive); our room was very comfortable; breakfast was very good; the swimming pool was fantastic and the welcome we received (from reception staff and from the owner and his wife) was very warm and friendly. "Extremely clean and comfortable throughout the whole hotel. All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. As always the restaurant meal was fantastic. We’ve stayed here several times but this was the first time we had breakfast. I was a bit wary given some of the previous review comments, but the selection and quality was fantastic - probably the best of all the hotels we’ve stayed in."
