What I love most about travel, is discovering cute little villages everywhere around. This one is called San Roman, a really small and cosy village. What I noticed immediately was the sound. It's full of nature. I lived in Belgium and the only thing I hear at night are the cars rushing by and the noises of people, building new houses everywhere. Here in Spain, at night the only thing you can hear is the jingling of the bells of the cows and the crickets singing their songs. How I love this.

PS. The dog is called Cookie. He's my sweetheart.

PPS. The 'house' is called an Horreo. It's a typical house, built to dry grains. You can only find this in Asturias, the northern (and in my opinion the most beautiful) part of Spain.

"We verbleven 3 nachten in de studio die prima is bij mooi weer en kort verblijf. Voor een week was het voor ons toch iets te klein en het weer was iets minder. Ook sliep ik erg slecht op de matras. We konden voor de laatste 4 nachten probleemloos (uiteraard tegen bijbetaling) overboeken naar een van de lofts. De douche in beide is fantastisch, de ruimtes zijn simpel maar leuk ingericht. Veel bergruimte in de kledingkast. Helaas ook in de loft slecht geslapen op de matras maar verder een heel...

"Hemos estado 10 días con un bebé y una niña de 3 años y la experiencia ha sido fantástica por la ubicación de las cabañas y sobre todo por la hospitalidad de Laura y su familia. "Hemos estado muy agusto. Fuimos 4 adultos con 3 perros y fue todo estupendo. El alojamiento muy agradable y con todo lo necesario. Mucho espacio en el jardín para que pudieran correr y jugar los perros. A 10 minutos de Cudillero. Pueblo tranquilo con algún bar y tiendas por si se necesita algo."

"Beautiful hotel in middle of city square. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Convenient parking right next to hotel. Only complaint is that the check in process was terribly slow - just one person and was taking too long for each person. "
