The property was clean and well taken care of. The property is near downtoan and the pier so it is very easy to get around on foot. There are a lot of restaurants and bars in easy walking distance. The bathroom is very large an in good shape. We rented the main floor unit and had acess to the front porch which we used in the mornig for coffee and reading. Check in - check out was a breeze. The kitchen is not adequate for cooking anything. The refrigerator is a small 'dorm room' size and doesnt really hold much of anything.

It was the perfect place to stay during our short trip to Grand Haven! The room was decent size and the view was very pretty. Easy check-in/checkout. Very clean and you can’t beat the location! Will stay here again!

My spouse and I agreed that this is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The rooms were spacious with large windows and a slight view of the river. Being right by the boardwalk and downtown was wonderful. The front porch was awesome as well

Quiet and absolutely spotless. First floor accomodations. Walkable downtown community. Annie's was great for Breakfast. Grand Haven state park, beach and the lighthouses were wonderful. Looking forward to returning to this charming area to paint again soon.

The property was perfect for our 4th of July getaway. The location was ideal and walkable to pretty much everything. It was in a quiet neighborhood and the lovely front porch was an added bonus. The view of the lake was beautiful and the inside was super clean and so cute. Highly recommend!

Perfection!

Grand Haven is my 2nd home and Captain's Cottage is my 2nd home. I have stayed here many times and it's always perfect. So clean (without the toxic clean smell), very comfortable and a perfect location to downtown and the lake.

We stayed in the "Upper Deck" suite and it was perfect for us. We loved having our coffee on the balcony with the view of the water. It was clean, comfortable, and an easy walk to the beach or main strip of town. Excellent coffee and plenty of restaurants and shops are a very short walk away while the site is peaceful and feels removed from the tourist area. It was great to have a parking spot as we liked some spots on the East side of town which is a short drive. Communicating with the innkeeper over email always got a swift response.

Captain's Cottage is super cute! The pictures really dont do it justice. We were a block from the beach. Snug Harbour and Noto's are a must for waterfront dining. Downtown had lots to offer as well and was walking distance to CC. We had to make a trip to Meijer...also very close...and was astonished at the cleanliness and upscale feel of this store. We had a great, although too short stay, at Captain's Cottage.
