"A lovely rural hotel in the parish of St. Martin, about 10 minutes drive from the airport and 15-20 minutes from St. Peter Port. Located on narrow, winding roads, the hotel provides an excellent base for exploring the island. Reception is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, rooms are nicely decorated, beds are comfortable, and bathrooms with walk-in shower are spotless. Efficient and capable staff freshen up the room each day. There is a pool and a large sitting area outside (but not in use due to inclement weather during our stay). As for clientele, La Barbarie appears to have a loyal following of older seniors who return annually. The hotel has ample parking and is serviced by a local bus that runs past the property. "

"This was a little gem of calmness.excellent location and well placed for the beach and our walks around the island .great room with plenty of storage ,really comfortable bed .would recommend this to anyone looking to stay on the island.amazing bus service on the island ,great views and obviously the history and museums from the occupation. "
