Lovely place to stay. Staff we met Mike and Jonathan were friendly pleasant and helpful.
It was such a wonderful experience. Lovely staff, amazing beer, superb breakfast (the best English I have had for years). Charming /historic and quirky. Loved it.

Staff are so polite and nothing Is to much trouble for them enjoyed my stay
Room was clean and comfortable bed. We didnt have breakfast as we were leaving before 8:30am but bacon sandwiches were left outside our room. Overall the stay was good and i would stay here again.
A quaint friendly little local pub with B&B, the en suite room was clean and comfortable with a view over the front of the pub and village. There was not much space for parking, and they didn’t cater much if you have a gluten free diet, but tried their best to accommodate , overall a very nice stay, would definitely return and recommend
We really enjoyed our stay here. Didn't get to sleep til late as there was a private function but this isn't anybody's fault we were staying in a pub and expected noise. The room was lovely, very nice coffee! The staff were friendly and polite.
No real parking available but we managed to find a space fairly close by.
The kids loved the room and we would definitely stay again.
We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did.
Excellent Chinese takeaway.
We slept like logs and woke to have full breakfast that Jonathan cooked which was lovely fresh and hot.
Will be booking again without a doubt.

Liked: Staff & service
Lovely old pub in a little village, no car park as such, staff were lovely and helpful but room was dusty on skirts and tables and the complimentary biscuits were out of date, two of them were October 2024, the small long
Life milks had expired early October as well. We couldn’t get Wi-Fi in the room despite the instructions being in a welcome book and we couldn’t get the tv on anything. Beds were nice and clean and the family room was very spacious with a lovely view. Could easily accomodate four people. Convenient stay over for the Holker Hall Winter Market.
Absolutely lovely place to stay. Made to feel so welcome and at home from the second we got there. Jonathon and the staff couldnt do more to help. Gorgeous room, very spacious and amazing atmosphere. Will definitely be booking to stay here again in the future
