"The outside mountain views were amazing. There were deer in the area. The cabin was extremely clean and nice. It was decorated just right and made us feel at home. The kitchen had everything necessary plus extras if needed. The coffee maker was ready as well as a nice grinder. Amenities were numerous and appreciated. The gas fireplace was delightful. The large deck was nice and there was an outdoor fire pit. The property is all to itself with plenty of privacy to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountain outdoors. There are great hikes nearby, including Seneca Rocks, Chimney Top, and Dolly Sods. Cheetah B's restaurant in Petersburg is great. I would highly recommend this property for a lovely getaway in the mountains. It snowed a bit on the last two days of our stay, which made the views even better. The host was very good and communicated well. I will definitely keep The Rusty Lantern in mind for future West Virginia trips. Excellent"

"We've stayed any many rental properties and this one was by far the best stocked!! From the kitchen with more than enough pots/pans, plates & utensils to every bathroom having hand soap and lotion. Plenty of towels including beach sized for the hot tub. The beds were all very comfortable. We had a great time!"

The host was very accommodating with our situation, extended our stay for the additional 2 week needed until our home was competed. The front poarch was a great place to sit and watch our dog in the open area to run and expend his energy. We highly recommend Happy Bottom!"
