"Honestly, because of multiple festivals and events that weekend, my first choice was sold out, but the Respite ad looked comparable and I got their last room…and that them made them sold out, too. The facility is nicely appointed in traditional art, antiques and decor. The room seemed much nicer than its pictures, so that was a pleasant surprise. Perhaps the spacious balcony porch with its padded rocking chairs was my favorite spot. The staff person person onsite was quite cordial, hospitable and competent, including their breakfast cooking. The Respite is also extremely convenient to the Convention and Expo Center. Now that a day has passed, I believe “Respite” is a perfect name for this jewel in Paducah."
