Apex Grassmarket Hotel

"The room was mostly clean and well kept, although compact. Tea and instant coffee provided. Room was refreshed every day, fresh towels etc. We were on the 5th floor and had the most beautiful view of the castle and were treated to the sounds and sights of the Military Tattoo by night. Staff were fine, working in Edinburgh in August obviously takes its toll! One mature gentleman, in a blue shirt was hugely friendly and went above and beyond for us during our stay. The pool was compact but okay, nice little sauna too. A good way to unwind after a day exploring the city. We really enjoyed the nearby cafes and bars. So didn’t make use of the restaurant or bar in the hotel. Our stay was very expensive, to be expected in Edinburgh in August."

"Situated across the river from the house of parliament this hotel is positioned between Waterloo and Vauxhall for easy transport connections. The rooms are comfortable with a modern feel."

"No minibar to store drinks in. I had contacted the hotel twice through expedia inquiring about refrigerator and got no response. Otherwise great hotel. Would stay here again for the great bridge views"

"I was worried at first, but definitely worth the experience! I enjoyed my time and it did the job for what I needed. The location was great and there were a lot of places nearby to visit!"

"Excellently value for money. Quadruple room for family 4 adults more than spacious. Free ferry a bonus. Canary Wharf on other side loads to do or onwards underground. Games room, bar and outdoor drinking area. Breakfast so/so but only £13 each. Tescos just outside and a great coffee shop at The Barn city farm 5 mins walk away"

"Small room but very clean, and at the height of a heatwave the air conditioning was excellent. Basement room very cool and quiet. Excellent location for Victoria stations."
