"Booked a 2 Queen room for my mum's birthday.. had dinner at the Keg downstairs and than a jaunt at the casino.. she is 80 and uses a walker wheelchair and everything was easy to get to which is important. Overall, had a great night and would stay at the Wyndham again. Nice hotel close to all of the action."

"We were a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom. There was visible black mold in the washroom, especially around the shower and corners, which made the space feel unhygienic and poorly maintained. This is a serious cleanliness issue that should be addressed promptly. I hope the hotel improves its housekeeping standards for future guests, considering the reviews were excellent Room 612"

Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites

"The hotel and the staff were all great, no notes on the location and hotel itself. There were just two things that were annoying (but even with these the experience was good overall, these are just some things that could be worked on). The room my group and I stayed in, however, had weak air conditioning during a weekend that was overwhelmingly hot and humid. At least we had air conditioning, but the output of it was disappointing unfortunately. The only other thing that was problematic were the room key cards. We were told they worked using a magnetic signature and to keep them away from phones and other devices, however, even when they were kept away from phones (for example in someone's wallet or on the nightstand without devices around) sometimes they would lose their ability to open the door. It was very awkward having to constantly go back to the lobby and ask for new ones from the staff, but they were very kind about it at least."

Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls

"The room was clean and relatively quiet. I thought the firm bed was quite comfortable, too. For "breakfast", there was free coffee or tea. Not a big issue, with Applebee's serving breakfast right next door. It was a shock to pay $50 Canadian extra per night to park, but the hotel allows in-and-out. Similarly priced parking lots did not offer that. Not the hotel's fault, but cell phone service is really iffy around Niagara Falls, so I was hoping for a solid wifi signal in the hotel. It worked for a short while and then wouldn't connect for the rest of our stay ("too many networks are logged in"). It may have been a blessing, but we couldn't seem to get the TV to give us any news channels ("no signal"). All in all, we enjoyed the property and our stay, and we got to watch the fireworks from our room! You might suffer sticker shock. We exchanged $400 US and got $540 CAN, but the exchange rate is across the boards. For example, a prime rib dinner at The Keg was priced at $55 CAN. Delicious meal, but El Cheapo thought it was expensive. Parking at Clifton Hill was $30, and that was cheaper than the $30-60 near the hotels. It was a pleasant trip, and we're already talking about next year."
