"We were welcomed by lovely staff giving an immediate good impression. Our room was small and a bit dark, but had everything we needed. Our dinner was amazing, beautifully presented and generous. Thanks to the weather we were able to sit in a beautiful garden looking onto the village green. Breakfast was brilliant. All the food is locally sourced and delicious. As to the cost, we were delighted at the value for money. Lovely pub with loads of character and lovely staff."

"Had a fantastic few days here. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Whenever we asked they always provided an answer to our requests promptly and happily. Charlotte was incredibly informative and passionate in answering our local questions of which her knowledge was invaluable to us. Lovely room we had, being hyper critical it is an old building so the bathroom layout meant you couldn't really have a shower, so bathing it was instead. Had a wonderful stay, highly recommended. "The Shepherds hut was on a farm in a lovely position in a field with no one overlooking but the local livestock.It was nice to have the option of sitting outside and eating. Inside had a 2 ring gas stove which was nice to make a cup of tea and all the cutlery plates etc required.A wood burner for the cold nights too. It was nice to have a toilet inside and the shower and main toilet a short walk away . It was ideal! No frills,worn and clean which the really reasonable price represents in this area. The delicious farmhouse breakfast as an extra option was a perfect way to start the day!"

"We had the Elgar suite which was large with a huge bed tub chairs tv complimentary drinks. The bathroom had a bath with shower over. Check in very quick .Staff very friendly . The buffet breakfast was lovely with big choice. The cooked breakfast was extremely good. We stayed two nights and really pleased with room and service we will visit again."
