"To sum up our stay at On the Rocks, I’m just going to say “Wow”. Usually the pictures of a place are better than the reality. In this case, the pictures did not do justice to what we experienced. Being so close to the mesmerizing Georges Pond was so peaceful and lovely. We took advantage of all the great places from which to view it, inside and out. The inside of the cabin was also so well done and inviting. We enjoyed the fire pit and hearing the loons’ calls in the evenings."

"Such a beautiful place. It was very clean. Mark was super helpful with details about the area and home. Every question we had was in information sent,left in a book or on a note.We will definitely be back again and appreciated being able to stay at such a wonderful location. This was our first time renting on Vrbo and It was a great experience. Mark made everything very easy and stress free. Thank you for Sharing your beautiful home with us."

"Beautiful cabin with the most incredible lakefront views. The sights land sounds of the lake and loons each day was so peaceful to wake up to and go to sleep to. We explored Acadia national park and Bar Harbor and had plans for moosehead lake after. This was a great in between spot to be just off the beaten path. Thank you again!"

"Our family of four loved our stay at the Coombs' home. The house was clean and the decor was charming and minimal which lent itself to the relaxed vibe of the place. The two larger bedrooms had spectacular views of the water and my husband and I appreciated having an en suite bathroom in our room. Although we spent a lot of time on the go, my youngest loved going down the stairs to sit on the rocks with me and take in the quiet, gorgeous surroundings of the property. Birdwatchers, don't forget your binoculars!!On the one rainy day of our trip we went to the movies in Bangor and browsed the cool antique store on 1A. The rest of the time was spent in Acadia and Bar Harbor, hiking South Bubble, Jordan Pond, Schoodic Point, Cadillac Mountain and exploring side of the road pull offs. Dinner at Ironbound and the pizza and beer at Fogtown Brewing were just a couple of our favorite food experiences. Pie at Lincoln's Farmstand and coffee at Precipice are other recommendations that lived up to their promises. You won't regret booking with Beth. Her hospitality is bar none and we hope to be back soon!"

"The pictures do not do this place justice. The water views and sunsets from the deck are stunning. You can go and run around sightseeing all day and then come home to your private little piece of heaven. Absolutely no issues. The place was clean, beds were comfy, the A/C was cold, laundry on-site….doesn’t get any better. Hosts are extremely attentive, I can’t think of one amenity that wasn’t thought of and provided for. One hour from Bangor airport. Don’t wait…just do it!"

"This was the perfect spot to rest and reset between hiking trips in Acadia. We loved using the provided kayaks to explore the lake and listening to the loons at night. The host was very communicative and made check in/out a breeze. I would recommend this spot to anyone traveling to Maine!"

"We really appreciated this house! It’s full of character and charm. Quintessential Maine! No gray-washing here! We walked to the granite gallery one morning, cooked fresh lobster on the stove, obsessed over a puzzle... Make a right out of the driveway and you’ll reach a bake stand with delicious made-with-love cookies and biscuits. Great spot to branch out and enjoy all things Maine!"

"The property is right on the lake. Just a couple of steps and you are on the dock or in the water. The owners were great. It is the best stocked vacation rental that we have ever stayed in. Very, very clean and as a bonus they have 4 kayaks and the fishing was fantastic."
