"The cabin was renovated in an Adirondack theme. We brought our friends with us to see the Adirondacks. We could smell fresh wood when we arrived. It was decorated just right for the Adirondacks. We enjoyed using the firepit at night, roasting marshmellows and they even had complementary sticks to use for them. They had an instantaneous hot water heater so we never ran out of hot water. We were happy we had 2 full bathrooms as alot of rentals only had one. Seasoned firewood was stacked in their screened in porch which we used in the firepit. Modern appliances and really nice kitchen. Also, enjoyed the fireplaces inside the cabin. Rural setting, peaceful and quiet. We saw a mother and her 2 fawns every day. It was comfortable and our stay was the best. We enjoyed walking down to the lake. I wouldn't change a thing! Our communication with the host was spot on from the start and during our stay. Would definitely come back! Thank You."

Great Sacandaga Lake - scenic lake front retreat

"This camp was very clean when we arrived. Everything is well maintained and in good order. The host reached out a few days ahead of the visit to make sure we were in contact if needed. Our issues with the listing information were very specific and personal and probably not an issue for most people. One of the main reasons we selected this camp was because the listing indicated it as wheelchair accessible. Shame on me for not asking more about that ahead of time. My disabled wife was in tears while we were unpacking upon arrival. There are a few unlevel/uneven stairs between parking and the main door, not very bad stairs, not an issue for most able bodied people, but bad enough for someone with mobility challenges, and 2 steps between the main portion of the house and the dining room/gathering area. We were able to cope with the stairs in and around the house but it did limit her from getting around the property. Again, shame on me for not asking specific questions ahead of time, but the listing clearly indicated wheelchair accessible which I suggest is not a reasonable claim. There is an area of loose stone between the yard and "beach" so she wasn't able to get down to the beach/water. The listing says something about playing in the sand which would have been good for my 9 and 10 year old kids, but the beach was mostly stone with sparse areas of sand. We did relax, play games/puzzles, have s'mores and get my kids in the water every day. Good camp for the able-bodied."

"Very conveniently located close to both Northville and our family cabin off Sinclair Road in Edinburg. We rented the Riverbend cabin as a place to stay when there was little extra room at the family cabin.Riverbend Cabin is in a beautiful, relaxing location. It is amazing that you can look out almost any window and see the creek. The cabin comes with all the amenities needed including a washer/dryer, wood for a camp fire, swing and table on the porch, and all the basics such as paper towels, salt & pepper, some seasonings, tea and coffee, books to read, games to play, etc. Clean and attractive."

"Henry makes everything easy to work with him for and there is actually a lot available there including kayaks and grill and leaf jackets. Is a very safe place to stay, especially if you have a small children and the property was beautiful."

"Beautifully appointed and welcoming home with huge playable back yard and gorgeous lake frontage. We do all our own cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed plus the extras like dish soap and trash bags that some properties don't supply. Excellent spot for a family get together or just to get away and have plenty of lake time. Steep stairs down to the dock but we had little ones (age 4 and up) that had no problems. Love the quiet and safe dead end road which added to the peaceful vibe. We have family get togethers once a year and this was the best location and home we've been to! Highly recommend"
