Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Conway

"I go to Conway, AR twice a year. I had been staying at the Super8 nearby but tired of that property's slow decline. The Microtel was clean and comfortable and professionally run with just a couple minor oddities. Upon check-in, I normally tell the clerk that I won't require services for my room. I just need an extra set of towels and that's all. The front desk person at this Microtel said "sure, just bring me your old ones and we'll swap them out." I said, "what I actually meant was to get an extra set now and I'll use them and leave them in the room when I check out, like I always do." She responded they "don't have enough towels for that." What?!? That's a response I would expect from JoeBob's Motel and Bait Shop, not a Wyndham property. Heck, even the Super8 I used to stay in had no problem with this request. A minor inconvenience, but annoying. The only other issue was in the bathroom. Many hotels use a large incandescent floodlight as the bathroom heater. During my stay, I tried to activate it and realized someone had changed the bulb to an LED unit - which, of course, emits zero heat. I mentioned this to the front desk and they seemed surprised. Apart from that and the towel episode, everything about the property, including the breakfast and wifi, was good and I will stay there again."
Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Fairfield Bay

"Staff were very friendly and accommodating! The night shift man at tge desk I wish I could remember his name I want to say Caleb... anyways my husband and our 2 dogs traveled 7 hours in the car for my dogs heart Dr appointment. When we got there it was dark we were all exhausted and I forgot to pack cheese to give my dog his meds.. went to the desk and asked if they had cheese.. lol he looked at me like I was crazy at first and who could vlane him.. once I explained he went right into the dining hall and got us some cheese! I would definitely stay here again. The rooms were very clean and so was the property. My only complaint would be that breakfast was hotter it was all Luke warm."
