"This really is glorified 'camping'. The two cabins we had were the smallest but had very comfortable king size beds. We had running water, toilet, tub/shower. Hot water and heat... ?? one cabin had no hot water, the other was either scalding hot or cold, making showering quite an experience. The cabin with no hot water (did not appear the gas hot water heater was vented fully to the outside so we did not turn it on) also had no heat. The other had a heater we did not use due to moderate nighttime temps. Electricity to run anything was mostly for a few hours at night. There is solar but that of course is weather dependent and when it did turn on in the morning it was usually mid-morning (past coffee time). We did all our cooking on our outdoor stove or over a campfire (s'mores and hot dogs). We LOVED the area. Quiet, peaceful, private, large space between the cabins, horses in the meadow, kittens in the lodge, very friendly owners. Now that we know more of what to expect and how things are set up, we will be more prepared next time (I won't take my electric percolator!) There is wifi through starlink in the lodge (and sometimes outdoors as you get closer to the lodge), but it was fine and great to disconnect for most of the days we were there. This ranch and neighboring ranches have a rich history and are all connected. We were informed of a little rodeo at a neighboring ranch and had a great time there. The ranch is 30 minutes from Alpine."
