"Once you arrive at Grindelwald's train station you need to walk up to Grindelwald First gondola station. The sidewalks can get a bit crowded, so that can be a bit annoying especially if you have luggage. PLEASE buy some kind of pass, AND check the time your train arrives in the city, otherwise, if you miss the last gondola up and you are stuck. Hours of operation vary depending on the season. Also, check with the staff your arrival time as their normal checkin time is until 4pm. REMEMBER every time you go down or up in the gondolas you have to pay 10 chf each way per person, so.. do yourself a favor and find out which pass you need that will cover the gondola tickets, otherwise, like me.. you will end up spending 80chf to simply go down and walk around the city. Once you make it to the hotel: WOW.. The view is simply breathtaking. We had dinner at the hotel. It was an experience/view I will NEVER forget. We were literally eating above the clouds. The room was super clean and very spacious, and we had great view. Breakfast was great as well. Simple, but it had exactly what we needed. I really, REALLY liked the hotel, and the fact that we were literally in the alps was something I will NEVER forget. However, the fact that we needed to take the gondola up and down and were restricted by their schedule (I think the last one was at 6pm), makes me think twice about returning, otherwise this hotel is a GEM."

"We went las lt week to Wengen and stayed in Braunbär Hotel!! We just loved everything there we are a family of 3 and is the perfect hotel for families!! Breakfast are amazing they were included and the amenities are just so Great designed!! Also Great location and you can schedule the pick up and drop off is free service!! The spa is amazing and the pool is warm and nice for families after a long day walking around!! The rooms were super comfortable and big and our room had balcony!! Is also Close to the malinchen gondola station just in front ahhh and the staff so helpful the answer all my questions special SARAH in the front desk area she is amazing and Beyond!!!!!!!! Another plus it has a little playground for young kids where you can go and play with them and relax with a coffee in the meantime!! We will come back is just so great there!! Thanks a lot "

"Would definitely stay here again. A cute and original Swiss chalet along the main strip of the tiny mountain village of Wengen. I recommend a Mountain View balcony room-this made our trip. We spent afternoons after hiking out on the balcony eating Swiss cheese and overlooking the mountains. The beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was very very small (probably the smallest hotel bathroom I’ve ever experienced and I’ve traveled Japan) but private in our room and clean. There were WC with a toilet on each floor as well. Staff was English speaking and easily communicative via the hotels app for check in information. "

"Lovely hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Great location, just back from the Main Street in the middle of town. Nice pool and restaurant and the rooms are really spacious. The homemade welcome and farewell gifts are a nice touch too. Breakfast is really good and included in room rate. Would stay again if in Grindelwald. "
