It is a good hotel highly recommend.

We stayed two nights for our son's graduation at Hargrave Military Academy. It was a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend it.

Great Front Desk Clerk

The morning Front Desk Clerk was very nice and helpful. Nothing about the visit was "bad." The room was a little dirty. I was really disappointed in the vending area. No ability to use credit/debit cards seems a little dated for 2015.

Best hotel within 50 miles of Gretna.

The staff is number one in my book. Very friendly and helpful. It was as if they had invited us to their home. You can't get a better staff. The Hotel was very clean and the staff were all dressed professionally. The dining room was kept spotless and the food was hot and fresh. A five star hotel in a major city couldn't have done better. The outside was kept very attractive and clean. I have been at this hotel several times and the experience is the same, outstanding. My only regret is that I didn't get names to include in this review. Thanks Gretna Hampton Inn for a great stay.

Fantastic stop-over between Asheville and DC

Service was efficient and friendly. Breakfast was among the best I've ever seen when included with room. No surcharge or deposit for our fuzzy family member. Bed and room were comfortable and well appointed. Our only issue was a leak in the bathroom, which I'm sure they did not know about until we left. while the room seemed clean with regard to important things, there was dust on the shelves in the bathroom. Overall, a fantastic stay, and we plan on staying there whenever we travel between our town and DC.

I cant say enough good reviews about this Hampton. 6 stars! From the moment we checked in until check out was a most pleasant experience. The front desk personnel, the breakfast, the cleanliness of the pool and the grounds, the beauty of the rooms and I always love the white linens. SO CLEAN. The rooms were cleaned beautifully each day. The breakfast was exquisite. Hot Fresh and each of the 3 days we stayed were all different entrees. The employees all had smiles and kind words. PS. My dog loved it here also. 24 hour Fresh coffee and cookies a plus also.

The hotel is great. We have stayed there before and will again. The people are very friendly. Brooke was particularly helpful when we needed to add a day to our stay. The breakfast food and the ladies who provide it are both just top notch. We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Gretna, Virginia area. You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!

Nascar retreat

We chose the hotel because we were going to the races. It was clean, quiet. It was satisfactory. It was more expensive because it was race weekend. It was not worth the extra money given the pool was outdoors and not usable.

Had a great stay!

My family stayed here while we purchased an RV from a nearby town and needed overnight accommodations. We ended up staying two nights. It was great! The hotel was neat, clean and very nicely appointed. Our rooms were adjoining as we had asked for and had confortable beds and fresh looking bathrooms. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast/family room area that is right off the lobby. It has tables, chairs, sofas, a TV and places to plug in your devices. Great for getting out of your room and hanging out. We were able to take our dogs with us as well which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel to begin with. They have an area to the side of the hotel for walking dogs and even have baggies available. Overall nothing bad to say, would definitely return again.
