Summary:
This thoughtfully designed two room apartment impresses with its well planned layout and high quality features. Elegant materials define the interior, while modern details such as a walk in shower, a whirlpool, a private sauna and a fireplace provide extra comfort. The open living area includes a fully equipped kitchenette with sink, stove and dishwasher. A special feature is the solid rotating oak countertop that serves as a flexible dining bar, allowing for either side by side or face to face seating. The kitchen is complemented by an additional cabinet with a refrigerator, combination microwave oven, several coffee and espresso machines, and other useful appliances such as a mixer and toaster.
The Space:
A virtual tour of the accommodation is available on YouTube under the title “Hexenburg near Dresden.”
Please note: The four sided courtyard and the outdoor areas are still under construction. Some wings of the building as well as the entire outdoor facilities are not yet completed. This has been taken into account when setting the room prices.
Optional services such as bed linen and towels can be booked for an additional fee: bed linen €10 per set, towels €5 per set, cleaning of the sauna and whirlpool €7.50 each per stay. Electricity for the sauna is charged according to usage. Firewood is available for €1 per log, but guests may also bring their own.
Pets, particularly dogs, are not permitted in this apartment.
Please note: The “pool” mentioned in the description is actually a natural pond with a reed belt. During the summer months, the water quality may be insufficient for swimming.
Guest Access:
Guests are welcome to enjoy the spacious grounds, which include two ponds and an adjoining equestrian facility. Access to the stables is only permitted after consulting with the respective horse owners. Please refrain from feeding or touching the horses.
Those interested in riding can arrange lessons or a trail ride directly with the riding center.
At the Hexenburg courtyard, guests also have access to a washing machine and a dryer. A fee of €5 applies per use.
The Neighborhood:
From the accommodation, many attractive destinations can be reached easily. Recommended day trips include visits to Dresden, Stolpen or Pirna, as well as to the Saxon Switzerland National Park. The Lusatian Pond Landscape Biosphere Reserve and the Spreewald are also ideal for varied excursions.
If you prefer to leave the car behind, you will find plenty of opportunities to relax right outside your door. The surrounding nature, the horses on the property and the picturesque ponds invite you to unwind and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Getting Around:
Saxon Switzerland with the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, the Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape Biosphere Reserve, and of course Dresden, Pirna, Bautzen, and Prague, less than two hours away by car, offer countless opportunities for excursions and sightseeing.
