"This was my first visit to a hotel with no reception personnel. However, the instructions were good and I was able to check in on the machine and receive a room key. I speak some German, so that helped in following the registration instructions. The only complaint is that the door was left ajar on two occasions by the cleaning staff. It required a slight slam to get it to close properly. It is very convenient to public transportation, shopping and good. There was a great breakfast spot one-half...

"The Pension Unicat was a great place to stay outside of Berlin. We stayed in an annex(?) across the street and our rooms were large. The rooms were clean, bright and airy. The restaurant was excellent and the portions were huge. The staff all spoke at least a little English were friendly and helpful. The train into Berlin is just down the street about a 5 minute walk. The only con was the on street metered parking."

Breakfast spread is basic with the usual bread, cereals, ham, cheese, fruits etc. The hotel is located near to Kudamm strasse the shopping belt. "I had a very nice week at City Pension Berlin. The place is two minutes from S-bahn station Charlottenburg, which make it easy to get around in the city. My room was clean and I slept very well in a nice bed. I found the staff friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. It was a nice atmosphere there. Right next to the pension there are lots of restaurants, cafès and shops. I would come back next time in Berlin!"

"The entrance and access to the rooms was dirty and unwelcoming. There was a lot of noise from delivery trucks and garbage trucks. There was no reception to speak of and this made it difficult to organise anything like taxis etc to get around. Extremely rude and arrogant manager who swore and used foul language when we made a comment that he was not very helpful or courteous. The place itself once passed the entrance was lovely but there was no lift and no help with luggage up the stairs. ...

Uns wurde alles erklärt und für Fragen oder Wünsche standen die Vermieter direkt zur Verfügung, da sie selbst neben an wohnen. Sehr ruhige Umgebung.
