"Excellent food!! Very good bar!!
The room was pretty warm when we first entered
The A/C only works in you have a room key inserted in the A/C relay. Had to wait a long time for the shower water to get hot, but it did get there.
Service people were helpful, efficient and friendly. Will do anything to make your stay remarkable."
"Although the facilities are acceptable, my overall experience was mixed. While the rest of the staff was very nice, helpful, and accommodating, we had a major issue with one specific female staff member. Upon arrival, she was quite rude and flatly refused to answer basic questions about our reservation, stating that she would not assist us until 3:00 PM. When we returned at that time and expressed our frustration regarding her treatment to another staff member, she finally apologized; however, it left a very unpleasant feeling due to the noticeable difference in the way she treated tourists compared to national guests. It is disappointing to encounter that kind of attitude from one individual, as it overshadowed the positive service provided by the rest of the team.""
"The rooms were excellent and breakfast was included, which was good. They also had a gym where you could work out, and the staff were very friendly and could speak English."
"Words truly fail to capture the beauty of this lodge—and of its remarkable owners. The crisp, cool mountain air and the sweeping views of Volcán Barú made every moment feel extraordinary. Each day began with softly misted mornings wrapped in absolute stillness, followed by afternoons alive with birdsong and hummingbirds in constant motion. Evenings brought breathtaking sunsets behind the volcano, casting a golden glow that made every day feel quietly magical.
We hadn’t planned to dine there for every meal, but after the first experience, there was no question. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner became part of the rhythm of our stay. The food was exceptional—fresh, vibrant, and sourced directly from the fully organic farm surrounding the property. By the time we departed, we genuinely felt healthier and renewed.
The accommodations were nothing short of five-star: newly constructed, all-wood individual lodges that were both elegant and warmly inviting. There was abundant hot water, reliable solar-powered electricity, and the charming touch of a small wood stove in each cabin. The location is ideal—close to Boquete and numerous hiking trails, with two scenic trails beginning right on the property.
Evenings in the main lodge often stretched into hours of lively, thoughtful conversation with Pascal and Leon—two of the most worldly, gracious, and compassionate hosts we have ever met.
We feel truly fortunate to have discovered this hidden sanctuary in the cloud forest. We will be back"
