This is a very nice hotel with rooms that are like small apartments. They all seem to have full width large balconies. Everywhere is incredibly clean. The washer/dryer is convenient even for a short stay. The staff were very nice and they make an excellent breakfast that’s included. This hotel is not directly on the beach but it’s a short walk. The little street leading to the beach is very nice with almost full shade the entire length. Also nice to see the horses on your walk there. October seems to be a really quiet time to visit, beach is gorgeous, shade trees and canopies available, pools are almost empty. If you want to chill in October go here. Easy place to stay if you need to be close to Santo Domingo or the airport, particularly for a short stay.

I had the most amazing time at Casa Hemingway. This was exactly what I had envisioned. I traveled with my son on our first solo trip ever. As a solo parent, this means everything. I felt safe walking throughout the property. The staff ensured that when I was walking at night the next staff member was ready to receive me to get to my destination. Thank you! We were able to disconnect from our daily lives and felt safe doing so.

We arrived here on a Tuesday and were worried to find out that 2 of their restaurants only open Friday-Sunday. It was very quiet and not many people. However, this place really worked its charm on us and by the time we left we were already planning our next visit back. There’s a real authenticity about this place. It’s located in a residential complex with exceptional pools that are never crowded. The food and cocktails are made to a high standard. The beach is relaxing and clean. It’s just so peaceful here. We didnt want a fake sterile experience with lots of tourists like you might find at other resorts. This is truly a hidden gem. Highly recommend
