"We liked that it was located inbetween farm land and hills. What we didn't like was the stairs were well used to the point of almost being unsafe. But they are authentic for the time period when it was built."

Gubbio is a pleasant enough town, with an impressive main piazza some way up the hill. However, there are nearby towns with more to offer, such as Perugia The annual Festa dei Ceri is on 15 May at about 11am & 6pm, but little in between!
