"We were a group of 10 girlfriends (all 50+) who organise a week away for 'special' birthdays when they occur. This villa was perfect for what we wanted. Some of us are at an age where occasional snoring occurs and with 7/8 bedrooms, this meant that 6 of us were able to sleep soundly in our own private room. Bliss!! The set up is great, all amenities there were well looked after and we felt we had the place to ourselves even though there were other guests. Very peaceful and night and great for star gazing. We did not use the pool as weather was not hot enough, but we did BBQ a couple of times which was lovely. The log burner was a nice feature but was needed at night. "Brilliant base from which to explore the forested North of Tenerife, just a short hop from picturesque Puerto de la Cruz and loads of good walks nearby. Good access to the main road by car, after the long switchback, but it was too much/long for a stroll to nearby La Matanza de Acentejo in the heat. Directions from the Owner were very good, unfortunately our flight was delayed and we arrived in the dark. Due to the property sitting in the middle of a little estate with lots of little alleys ( all very cute), but somewhat erratic numbering it took a while to find it, a torch is recommended. "The house was perfect for our six week holiday. We loved the location but be advised that it’s about a mile from town. There’s a bus stop very close but we chose to walk. It’s located very near a butcher shop that has excellent meat and near a small grocery store that has many things. "This villa is amazing, we went with 14 people and we had a great time. The decor is old-fashioned in the best way, it feels like an old Spanish holiday villa, which is what we wanted. THere are a couple of bakeries within walking distance which were great, and walking down to the sea for a swim & a beer was lovely way to spend an afternoon.
