"Our room was in terrible shape, even though it had recently been (poorly and partially) renovated. Main door had no additional inside lock, bathroom door was old, partially broken and about 2 inches short, vanity was missing, exposing old and poorly installed piping, curtains were falling apart and didn't close entirely, letting the outside bright light in at night, paint and drywall patches throughout the room, etc, etc. At 2 am, a very loud noise woke us up, only to find the aluminum towel rack on the bathroom floor. It had been glued to the glass in the shower...Yes, glued. And of course, we did not get hot water in the shower. At breakfast, waffle maker wasn't working. It was connected to an extension chord, along 6 other appliances, so obviously the fuse had popped. I am sure the electrical installation would not pass inspection. Can't imagine all the things that weren't visible to us...or would rather not!"

"Very noisy building. Common areas on top floor Had poor ventilation so was always extremely Hot and smelt like cleaner hours after the staff had gone through. If you’re not on the top Floor, you will hear every footstep of the person above you. The beds were pretty good though. It was clean. The breakfast was adequate. Staff was excellent. Just either bring earplugs, or prepare to be annoyed by it. "

"I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this location to others. Everything was cozy and made our time in Surrey comfortable and even home like while my daughter attended a sports event nearby. Brian and his wife were very welcoming and quick to check in and help us with anything we needed to make our stay comfortable. They recommended some lovely sightseeing options that you would struggle to find unless chatting with locals. Parking is right outside the door and the neighborhood is quiet and located off a ravine. Excellent value here!"

"Staff were very sweet, was able to get a crib for my baby. Very pleased with the meal we got at the restaurant attached and the breakfast is worth it as well!! Amazing buffet with lots of healthy options along with the regular (eggs bacon hash sausage)"

"A few concerns; I do not usually leave a stay early and I broke this reservation. The street and the house are under construction and the listing does not share this. The way the ad is written makes it seem the whole first floor [living quarters at least] are yours and private, but there are other units there. Also, the private bath is not in the room, and there is no external lock for that door [though there is for the bedroom].The kitchen was not clean and the hostess frantically cleaned my first day there. Even after: another guest has taken over the kitchen and leaves her foot in pots all over the counter, and when she cleans she takes over the entire kitchen -- all the counter -- and is there at dinner time for hours. The host does not advise her otherwise. When I wrote to address it with the host, I came in the kitchen and saw her showing the guest my messages; it was very "middle-school" and unprofessional. My shower did not work when I got there and I thus have no idea how the shower would have been cleaned to prepare for my arrival. The host replaced it once I complained. The mattress on the room needs to be replaced; it caves in the middle from too many people sleeping in it. There is a funny smell in the house, like the carpet needs to be cleaned. "

"I'm not sure cozy is the best descriptive word for this property, this is a massive house in a beautiful setting. This property was a perfect fit for us in a great location and we heartily recommend it. Thank you to the hosts for having us. "

"Really enjoyed my stay here I felt at home, the host is really kind and helpful. The house is beautiful filled with positive vibes and messages everywhere! They went above and beyond with their service really grateful with them! I would definitely come back! 10/10 for sure "
