"Our family had a wonderful stay.The lodge is spotless, user friendly, very thoughtfully provisioned with linens, kitchen goods, grooming products, and all manner of means for entertainment.We couldn’t possibly avail ourselves of all the options:Ping pong, billiards, darts, games, kayaks/canoes, pickleball court in driveway.Gorgeous views, privacy, bird and critter watching with provided binoculars were some of our favorite features.Coffee makers upstairs and down ( Keurig)Comortable beds and bedding.!Only 20 min. Drive from Middlebury and even closer to Vergennes/ferrisburg where tge better restaurants are, anyway!!Michelle was friendly/responsive and a delight to work withThank you so much for the perfect stay!!"

"Wonderful stay at Carolyn’s Cottage. House was spotless on arrival and beautifully decorated. Comfy beds, nice towels and linens. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you could want. The deck off the family room has nice furniture for outdoor dining and a great grill. The star of the show was the beautiful yard and lakefront. Great views and sunrises. The Adirondack chairs and fire pit were lovely for morning coffee and evening wine. Also super convenient to town if you find you need to shop or go out to eat. Thanks Erin for the wonderful hospitality!"

"My husband and I really love this property not because of its location, which is absolutely beautiful-but because it is the complete package. The updates made were very very nice. Loved having coffee outside the deck. We were able to relax, play games and enjoy ourselves in a beautiful setting! The communication with the owner was great! "I was in the area for the 250th anniversary of the Green Mountain Boys' assault on Fort Ticonderoga and stayed for two nights at "Camp Howard".I had the best time, it's a really cute yet very spacious cottage, remote and yet easily accessible along a private road.It was truly refreshing to not have cell service, it took me a few hours before I truly relaxed.There is a river down below the back of the cottage and I fell asleep at night hearing the noise of the water.Great property in a wonderful area, I will be back!"

"This was our second time staying at this property and it was just as welcoming and comfortable as our first.The hosts are incredibly helpful, accommodating and go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience.The house itself is spacious, well appointed and has everything you need to feel at home.Our dog enjoyed the large yard, as did we. We played cornhole, which is one of the many options as far as lawn games go. We loved spending time on the deck, grilling and enjoying the spectacular view. The sunsets were incredible.There are many birds that come to the bird feeder throughout the day and we were even lucky enough to see a bald eagle.We spent a lot of time fishing and my husband even caught a personal best (the bass was just shy of 6 lbs).We visited W.A.G.S. often (the local general store) which has just about anything you need. We also had ice cream at Goodies Snack Bar. (The Green Mountain Sundae was so delicious!) Champ's Trading Post was our third local stop where we bought all of our souvenirs (t-shirts, maple syrup, local jam, specialty soaps, Christmas ornaments and magnets). Everything was affordably priced and the selection was great. All three places are within a minute or two of the house which makes it so convenient.Our overall experience was excellent and the value/price of the rental is outstanding.I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation home."
