The ship was in really good shape but the staff were just amazing. I do suggest taking the two night cruise like we did. With one night they would be too fast to do everything that we did.

This is a Halong bay cruise. Great views, friendly accomodating staff. One down side is the lack of internet service which was. On existant, and phone data very slow. Halong is beautiful though.

The crew was just amazing. All the staff went over my expectations and usually my expectations are high. They made sure my teenager had fun. All the time, I felt that the staff was one step forward of my needs. Highly recommended !!

The whole trip was great experience for a two night package to see Ha Long Bay. The Cruise ship was well appointed and a great base to see the UNECO Heritage site. A few small concerns: the beaches we visited had a lot of rubbish, all boats/ships should invite customers to pick-up the rubbish to help preserve this special environment. Also the ship should have videos and other media which better present the site and environmental goals etc., as this was poring covered by staff.

Best Cruise ship in Halong

The Scarlet Pearl is a class of its own. A yacht style cruise ship with a lovely & highly professional crew. Luxury cabin, well thought out cruise schedule, great hospitality and awesome food. Also to mention: Scarlet Pearl comes with 2 catamarans for exploring Halong (other ships do no have that!!) and a tender boat for the way from Cruise Terminal to the Scarlet Pearl. Kayaks are also available. Enjoy the trip. You will not regret your choice.

Definitely not 5 star

If you are gluten free or celiac, don’t come on this cruise because your breakfast options consist of fruit only and coffee or tea. If you like to have a cup of tea or coffee after your meal, don’t come either because you have to pay for everything on board. They even happily will tell you water is complimentary! It is definitely not 5 star; the ship is worn and has lots of unsightly patch up jobs. The staff are gorgeous and make the trip. For the money, it really was very over priced for what it was. Positives; The Halong bay environment is gorgeous of course but with many operators, I’d try another organisation. Dinner was delicious.

Wendy is a fantastic tour Director. All the staff were fantastic, food was great, The boat itself was outstanding. We had the VIP suite and it was unbelievable! Privacy to die for. In our opinion well worth the extra money. Our friends had a regular room and it was very nice.

DON’T BOOK SILVER ROOM and don’t get room 109. The view from the balcony is litteraly a wall! Horrible stay and they did noting to help us… won’t recommend this cruise.

Excellent trip

The cruise is one of the finest cruises in Ha Long for now. Foods are fine-dine cuisine for lunch and dinner, buffet breakfast and brunch are served on next day. Certain maintenance is required to keep up its standard and competence. The only downsides were the assembly point (It was Ha Long International Cruise Port but changed to Dock 27 at Tuan Chau. Unfortunately our driver dropped us at the main terminal, causing us paying extra for taxi to get to dock 27 which is 5 minutes drive) and the long wait for speedboat to return to the pier.

We were a little apprehensive about booking our bucket list Ha Long Bay cruise with Scarlet Pearl after reading mixed reviews in various platforms but we went ahead with it and went with no expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised. The pick from our hotel in Hanoi was on time and in a luxury van which was very comfortable. We did stop at a pearl store on the way but there was zero pressure to buy anything. Check in was smooth and so was the transportation to the boat itself. Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome. The boat looked very classy and the staff very friendly. We were celebrating our wedding announcement and they went out of the way to make us feel special. Wendy is an excellent cruise manager. Her entire crew is super friendly and helpful. Very attentive to the passengers’ needs at all times. Food on the cruise is excellent and so are the drinks. They are very reasonably priced considering this is a cruise ship. Excursions are all well planned and excellent. Chris, the assistant manager is very knowledgeable and is very involved. We also took a private sunset cruise with another couple and that is just fantastic. Tony accompanied us on this cruise and showed off his smart phone camera skills by taking amazing photos. I can go on and on but this should give you an idea. I don’t understand the negative reviews. There is nothing negative about this cruise. All positive. Special shout out to Wendy, Chris, Jessica, James and Tony. Amazing people.

Don´t miss this!

Vi gjorde en 3 dagars/2 nätters tur med Scarlet Pearl Cruises och var inte besvikna en enda sekund. Upp plockade på vårt Hotell i Hanoi i rätt tid, samlades upp i dears egna lounge vid hamnläget i Ha Long. Smidig incheckning till vårt rum efter ett fint mottagande när vi anlände Scarlet Pearl då hela besättningen tog emot oss på akter bryggan. Roliga och spännade utflykter, kajakpaddling, cykling och bad. Fantastiska middagar som ingick...summa summarum nästan sex stärnor utav fem!
