"1. The hotel property is across the highway from AMS Schiphol International Airport.
2. I took an Uber from Schiphol to the hotel property.
3. Restaurant on the property was good if one likes European food.
4. I took an Uber to get into Amsterdam city center.
5. The room I had was very, very nice. It had a small kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove top.
6. The shower was huge, and I am 6’5” and weigh roughly 240lbs. The shower got and stayed hot quickly.
Downside to the hotel is that one cannot check-in till 3 p.m. so we had to sit in the restaurant area from 0830-1500 waiting on a room. We were told by a staff member at the front desk to just wait in the restaurant sitting area, and this area was right outside the restaurant with booths, chairs, and tables for eating. Around 1430 hours the lady over the restaurant told us we could not sleep at the table.
I mentioned the hotel staff told us to wait right here in the restaurant sitting area. Now mind you we had
came in on an overnight flight from JFK, and we were hit hard with jet lag. The lady was not happy to say the least. I had to keep my son awake so she would not get ill with us.
I said all that to say this, and that is the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing here with the situation that was going on. By the way we were not the only ones dealing with this problem with getting a room.
