"This is a very conveniently located hotel with some great amenities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. The food from the restaurant was very good. Room was basic but clean and quiet. My only issue was with the shower door and the fact there was no seal across the bottom of the door, water leaked out from underneath and we used a couple of towels to mop it up. Towels were quickly replaced by housekeeping and all was good. This was our second stay here and all in all, I would highly recommend the ibis central to anyone coming to AMS."

"Great location on a lovely canal roadway. We would choose to stay here again. Easy walking distance to lots of restaurants along the canal roads and to most Amsterdam attractions. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was wonderful. Comfortable bed, lots of pillows and a seating area with windows to the canal. Breakfast is available on site but you must order the evening before and specify a time. There's a small bar with table seating for drinks on site. Our bathroom was stylish and had a towel warmer which was helpful also for drying clothes if needed. It is an historic canal house concerned to a boutique hotel, so expect narrow staircases and smaller rooms. However there is an elevator."

"I took a single room at Hotel Old Quarter. The room and the hotel itself were quite clean and well maintained. But the single room was TINY! I’m a slim very able bodied male of 5’5” in height, and I found the space quite tight. I had a medium sized suitcase and found it difficult to access my suitcase and navigate the room at the same time. But the room and the en suite bathroom were kept quite clean. The bathroom seemed pretty updated in its finishes. I was grateful that the hotel had an elevator because the stairs were extremely steep and difficult to climb with a heavy suitcase. I think the excessively steep stair rise is an Amsterdam thing in general. The staff at the check-in encounter were quite friendly and helpful. But a member of the cleaning staff seemed quite annoyed when she asked me if my room needed cleaning and I responded “Yes”. The hotel is located on an eclectic and quaint little street – Warmoesstraat - which is well placed to access Amsterdam Central Station, and a lot of tourist sites and shopping. The cobblestone street was quite busy with foot traffic and tourists, but I can’t say I was disturbed by street noise in my hotel room – I also use earplugs for sleeping. The other guests were a different story. The walls separating the rooms seemed to be a bit thin and some of the floorboards were squeaky. So I could hear people walking and talking in the hallways and in neighbouring rooms."

"I was extremely impressed with absolutely everything about this Hotel. My experience from arrival was absolutely fantastic and I felt very looked after. I was met at reception by the most welcoming gentleman, very helpful and kind. The bedroom I stayed in was very cosy and had everything I needed. I was very happy with my Good Beans coffee house vouchers for a free coffee and breakfast pastry for each morning I was there also. And this was right opposite the hotel so super convenient. I would 100% recommend this hotel as it’s also super close and walkable to Central Station and all the main areas. Thank you for a wonderful experience!"
