"We choose the Best Western Sunridge Inn every time we visit the Baker City area, and it never disappoints!
Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and inviting, and check-in and check-out were both quick and easy.
The buffet-style breakfast was really good and had a great selection of food. I especially enjoyed being able to sit outside with my morning coffee and breakfast. There is also a nice pool area with tables and chairs. Some of the rooms have patio areas overlooking the pool and garden area, while others face the parking lot.
We stayed in August when the weather in Baker City can be very hot. The grounds were exceptionally well maintained, with the plants and landscaping looking beautiful and everything around the property clean and cared for.
One small thing to note is that our bathroom did not have a ventilation fan, which I found a little unusual. It did have a heated bathroom light in the shower area, though.
Overall, this is our go-to hotel whenever we are in the area. Clean, comfortable, friendly, and a great breakfast. We’ll definitely continue staying here on our future visits to Baker City!"
Palmer House, Studio 3, Cozy Studio for 2 Downtown! Local Golfing 50% Off!
10/10 Excellent
"Stopped in Baker City on a road trip, but was not expecting to fall in love with such a beautiful property. Palmer house is a historic building with multiple studio apartments. It is beautifully updated, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. Be prepared for the quaint, historic charm - including the quaint, historic size. Bathrooms and kitchens are original to the house and smaller than modern units, but somehow absolutely perfect. All apartments are on the second floor and guests may need to be prepared for the steep historic staircase required for access. We also recommend Paizanos Pizza (yum!) and Albertson’s for groceries."
"Beautiful remodeled room with a cozy and comfortable king bed. Extra sitting area with two comfy upholstered chairs perfect for watching television or reading. The shower was wonderful, too! Lovely young lady at check-in. We felt very welcome. The morning breakfast buffet was fantastic! Wonderful selection of hot foods, plus fresh cinnamon
roles! One of our favorite places!"
"This hotel is like walking into the past. The room had high ceilings with decorative tin tiles, long curtain to separate rooms. They have used furnishings that is comfortable but with that historic feel. Bed was clean and comfortable. Room was quiet. Bar on site was fun with delicious cocktails and onsite restaurant offered food 24/7. Great nod to the history of the building everywhere you turn."
Palmer House, Studio 2, Cozy Downtown Space, Sleeps 4!
10/10 Excellent
"Jason happened to be there when we showed up to check in. We had a nice chat and met his amazing son as well. Donna was very sweet and always said hello when she saw us. Location is amazing and parking was ample. Walking to Main Street and all the shops was a breeze. We’ve been coming to Baker City for years and the Palmer House will now be our first place to try to make reservations"
