"Probably an older hotel but nicely renovated. Well decorated large room with comfortable bed, nice furniture, and clean modern bath. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was the normal hotel breakfast, nothing special, but it’s always good "

"Beautiful home and property, with plenty of space for everyone to have their own space and privacy. Very clean, with a well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Dock area was clean - lily pad was a nice addition. There is a 10/15 foot area before the lake that is a steep side walk, so be prepared, as it is not for the elderly or those with trouble walking. We were all late 30s to early 40s and struggled, but not enough to keep up from coming back! Already booked for next year!"

"We had an incredible stay at this lake house, perfectly nestled in a peaceful cove of Smith Lake. The location is well off the beaten path, offering great seclusion and privacy, which made it a perfect retreat. However, keep in mind that there are no stores or gas stations for many miles, so it’s best to plan ahead! We enjoyed kayaking, swimming, and fishing, and even rented a boat for our last two days, which made the trip even more memorable. The house was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. This was a special trip for us, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking to create lasting memories in a peaceful, secluded setting!"

"I saw Smith Lake on the movie, Someone Like You, and told my husband next time we go to Birmingham we must stay here. Smith Lake was even more gorgeous in person! We stay in vacation rentals several times a year and have been to many lake destinations. The views from this house are tremendous pictures cannot capture the true beauty and serenity of this location. The house was immaculately clean and has been very well kept. I spent most of my time relaxing on the covered deck taking in the beauty and quietness of this pristine lake. My husband enjoyed fishing from the kayaks and on the dock and rocks. We flew in from Wyoming so we did stop at Publix and get our groceries. The property is in a remote area there are a couple of small grocery stores and a few restaurants so plan accordingly. We will definitely be coming back!! "
