"I wish we had known renovations were happening during our stay. Fortunately, we didn't need to nap during rhe day- pounding and drilling and whatnot going on all around us. The pool wasn't open, which made sense, but still wasn't labeled as seasonal (late April in the South) The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast on time and well managed. Waited at the desk because our keys didn't work the 2nd day for about 10 minutes without a bell or any way to contact staff. Always a plus when there's a bathtub, as the hot tub wasn't available Stayed while visiting The Dismals Canyon"

"Previously we didn’t enjoy our stay here due to one specific staff member always accusing us of smoking when we don’t even smoke, or would complain that our baby was crying too much, BUT THIS TIME we really enjoyed our stay and we didn’t see that staff member the 4 days we were there. We would leave for the day and when we come back our room was clean. No bugs, clean beds, clean fridge and microwave. Very enjoyable this go around. "
