"We had such a great stay! We absolutely loved Mayo Lake and couldn’t have asked for a better spot right on the water. The house had everything we needed and more, and there was something for everyone in our family to enjoy, no matter their age. The fishing on the lake was excellent, which was definitely a highlight of our trip! The owner was also very responsive and helpful with anything that came up during our stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing lake getaway!"

"The front desk staff who greeted us was exceptional! The continental breakfast was also fresh and offered a unique blend that you do not see everywhere. However, the room's cleanliness was disappointing. There was dirty tissue and used Chapstick, and stains all over the blanket. If it weren't for that the grade would have been 5 stars because the location on the lake and right inside the cute Clarksville is great!"

"Lovely cabin . Water level very low due to drought. Nobody’s fault just mother nature. Drove to buffalo point and spent a great day kayaking and swimming. Also went to Occoneechee state park for some hiking and fishing. All and all had a wonderful time. Would recommend."

"The Berry Hill Resort is amazing! This centuries old colonial plantation is a gem in hiding! On over 700 acres! Lots to do including a beautiful indoor pool! My room was decorated in the time period of when the plantation was built. So tasteful. You have to see it to believe it."

"The house was all we could have ask for and more. The entire house was very clean and organized from the pots and pans in the kitchen, even had a blender and a crock pot to the towels in ever bedroom. The house was stocked with stuff that you may have forgot like tooth brushes or soap. Plenty of space in the living room and on the porches. Very nice beach area and dock. Very clean in the water at and around the dock. No close neighbors and plenty of wild life. And most importantly any communications with the host was answered Very properly and they were very helpful and extremely nice. Would definitely book again."

"We loved our stay! This was the third time we stayed at this property and honestly, it keeps getting better! The kitchen was even more well stocked with lots of cooking vessels and small appliances. We enjoyed cooking bacon for breakfast on the super grill on the sun porch. The kids loved sleeping in the loft and enjoyed playing games from the large selection. This house has something for everyone and plenty of room. Margo was a wonderful host. We are looking forward to coming back next year for the annual family reunion. Thank you, Margo for sharing your lovely home!"
