"Yeah was a good stay staff was friendly and helpful, parking around the area is fairly priced/free over the weekends and location to town was perfect as only a £8 taxi into Bristol. Rooms were clean and well laid out, would have prefers to have a tv and hairdryer in the room but you’d have to bring ur own haha. Would rate is 7/10 overall nice place to stay."

"Such a great stay at the hideaway. The accommodation and views were stunning.
Had such a warm welcome from the hosts and the breakfast and attention to detail just made it that bit more special. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back and stay again "

"The apartment is very nice (if a little run-down and stained) and well-located for the university. There is a lot of space, and the beds are very comfortable, although it is quite hot and there was only one fan. However, all of that was overshadowed by the fact that one bedroom was crawling with bedbugs. It completely ruined our stay, and our trip to Bristol, which we had to cut short, and created a massive headache for us logistically, as well as a lot of anxiety. The managers didn't...

"It's not a bad place.
But filthy carpets were the main disappointment & filthy smoke butts outside the main door up stairs.
Was there for 3 days, not once did I see anybody do any cleaning or replenish towels or tea & coffee.
That's why it wasn't value for money.
The owner should put more effort into the place, instead of just taking the money."

"I was so impressed with our stay, we went to the gorgeously quirky pub in the evening after we checked in and felt immediately welcome amongst locals and visitors alike - a lovely community feel. The room was immaculately clean, unlike other pubs that I’ve stayed at and there was a basket-full of bits and pieces for a continental breakfast which was really handy in the morning. The landlord and landlady were so friendly, accommodating and genuine too. Our family of 4 stayed in a room with a double and 2 singles in a little wing next to the pub - no dragging bags and children up the stairs and quiet enough for the children to go to sleep before closing time for the pub. We didn’t eat in the restaurant as we arrived quite late but that looked very well presented and certainly had the novelty factor as a repurposed train carriage. We used the hotel as a base for going to Cheddar Gorge as it was much better value for money and only a 25min journey away. I’m so glad we happened upon this characterful place instead of booking into a generic brand chain hotel. We would not only come back here if we were passing but would go out of our way to come back."
"We stayed for one night - 2 adults and 2 children - in one of their quad bunk bed rooms. The hotel has a cool style and the premium amenities were nice - the hairdryer was a Dyson, the room had GHD straighteners and you had Cowshed products. Only negatives we found were there seemed to be no lift which wasn't a major issue for us as we're were travelling light but if you had heavy cases it could be a bit of a struggle. The room could also have benefited from a couple of chairs so you didn't have to sit in bed the whole time. All in all a good stay though."
"Prime location, very clean and bed was very comfortable. Only criticism was the bedrooms would benefit from an update as they look like they were stuck in time although the bathroom was very modern. Receptionist's gave conflicting advice about car parking. All in all very good place to stay and we will be returning."
"Limited access to spa not made clear when booking. Only available for hotel guess very early or in the evening. Also meant it was quite busy during those times."
"Hotel was lovely, staff were helpful. Only giving a 4 star because on this occasion I could not sleep due to a loud rumbling noise kept going off through the night, as well as the receptionist knocking on the doors of surrounding rooms at one point until found the one they were after. Not sure if the rumbling noise was beyond the hotels control or not. Everything else was 5 star and so were my last 2 visits, love this hotel."
