"Wonderful location on a secluded island in the centre of Stockholm. It is about a 15 minute walk to Gamla Stan.
The hotel is a historic building in which great care has been taken with the design inside and out. We loved the gardens and it was wonderful to sit outside on the terrace to have breakfast in the glorious summer sunshine. The breakfast was very good- freshly prepared with quality ingredients. "We had a superior King room which I'm glad we did as it wasn't particularly big bur was quite quirky, bed was comfortable and huge, breakfast was superb and Hotel was very central my only gripe was the lifts of which there are 4, one is used expressly for staff, one was broken during the whole of our stay (5 days) and one of the remaing 2 broke which left one lift for a hotel with 13 floors"
"I loved our stay at Hotel Rival. We traveled Scandinavia for over 2 weeks and this was my favorite hotel out of all the ones we stayed at. The room was spacious and the bed comfy. We returned to our room after our day sightseeing with turn down service and sparkling water on the bed stand. The breakfast was delicious and had made to order choices as well as a full buffet.
