Beautiful Inn

We were very happy with our stay. Loved being directly across from the beach and absolutely loved the view from our balcony on the 3rd floor. The owners were incredibly kind and thoughtful. The owner surprised us with fresh scones for breakfast one morning and her son carried our bags up to our room on arrival. The room was a little tight for our family of four and the beds were a little too firm but otherwise it was perfect. We plan to visit again soon.

What a great gem! I can’t say enough about the owners. Family run and they treat you like family. They made our trip and I know we will be back. The view doesn’t hurt either.

Windjammer is Like home .

This place is wonderful as far as a home feeling, it provides a atmosphere of relaxation and staff that are really helpful. The property is not as Modern as some might like but it has everything needed for a Hassle free stay. It's location is perfect for beachgoers and it's Pet Friendly.

This property was super cute! Friendly staff, excellent location if you want to be by the beach but away from the crowds. Rooms were clean, lots of amenities, and a comfortable place to call your “home away from home”. I got an oceanfront room and loved being able to sit out in the porch watching the sun & surf while having my morning tea. Beautiful way to start the day.

Lots of things to be considered

Perhaps it was time of year and perhaps it was the cove at outbreak but the hotel was a little destitute and under a great deal of repair. It is actually a motel with very nice balconies facing the water, it tries to have a bed and breakfast kind of look in the hallways. But the beds are small and the mattresses are almost painful. Being on the second floor, the challenge was that there were children running up and down the stairs and slamming doors late into the night. Just kept my wife and I awake both nights. We believe the children were part of the ownership family that lives on site. If this were to be put into the star rating, it is a two star experience at best. I’m quite sure I will not be a repeat customer

I liked that it was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn’t like that my room shared a bathroom with another and was located in the hallway. I didn’t like that they did not serve breakfast.

L’hotel est très bien situé, juste en face de la mer. Le personnel est extrêmement accueillant et vraiment attentionné. L’endroit est très propre et bien entretenu malgré que ce ne soit pas décoré au goût du jour. Les chambres face à l’océan sont belles et on un magnifique balcon avec une vue à couper le souffle. Je recommande cet établissement sans hésitation !

Friendly and quirky

We really liked the Windjammer. The owner Rick and his family are great. The location is great. Walk to the beach and at least two cafes and a surf shop. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag. Quiet. It is rustic however. We were in a room, #38, with a shared bath. No issues but people did leave towels on the floor which is odd. There is no mixer in the sink. Again it was fine but just so you know. We were on the third floor so up two fairly long and steep narrow staircases one outside and one inside. Rick helped us get up the stairs with our luggage but we checked out early in the morning so we had to get down two sets of stairs with luggage and that was a little bit challenging. I am sure I could’ve called him to ask for help but we didn’t want to bother. It was fine but if you are handicapped in anyway including just elderly or have bad knees I would consider this before booking the hotel. All of that said we really enjoyed our stay. It was quintessentially quirky charming New England in a beautiful location. Rick is one of the nicest owners we’ve met and we travel extensively.

Magical family owned place to call home

What a magical place! This was our 4th consecutive year taking our summer family trip to Hampton beach.. AND our first time staying here with Rick and Anne. Ann is the sweetest person you will ever meet we already miss her and we only saw her for a short time. This stay was different than our usual stay as the hotel is about 2 miles up the coast from the main boardwalk but it was amazing the north beach was full of crabs and lobsters at night for our walks and a short drive to the left brought us to a quiet beautiful beach we had never seen before. Needless to say we might be back in a couple weeks! Thank you, Kali, Chris and Oliver

Hotel Cancelled the reservation at the last minute

I booked a room in March for a weekend trip in August. Expedia notified me that they had confirmed the reservation with the property. About two weeks before the trip the owner contacted me and told me that he would not be able to honor my reservation because they had double booked six rooms. He said, "I do not have enough staff to handle the online reservations and the telephone reservations that we take". I wouldn't say it was a good experience. It was actually pretty bad. The way it was handled made it even worse.

Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Place had a relaxed feel. Was a minute walk from the ocean, and 5 minute drive from main strip on the beach.

OK but dad was mean

My sons reservation was wrong had to share bath for three notes rick n mom nice but father was rude told my daughter in law to pack up n leave no way to talk to guest. Also they paid for more expensive private bath but did not get any recopence for having to stay three nights in cheaper room. I don't no if I would stay again.

Hotel was quaint and clean. Room was not as advertised ( shared bathroom which was not clear and I don't think even listed on Expedia) upon complaint I was told there wasn't much they could do. The young guy running the inn was patient but unaccomodating--- the same can't be said for the father who told me to "SHUT UP" and " if you don't like it pack your stuff and get out". The worst customer service from the older innkeeper I have ever received in my life. It's sad because the hotel is cute, in a quiet part of town and has great beach access. But I don't go on vacation to be treated that way.

Hidden Gem in Hampton Beach!

What a wonderful hotel to stay in! As soon as you are met by the owners, you will be sure you are going to have a fantastic stay! Friendly! Helpful! Accommodating! They made 4 sisters feel like old friends. Add to the the character and charm in each of the rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom but also walked through and viewed many others. Clean? Oh yes! What is better than sleeping in bed linens that feel and smell like they came out of your own home? We will surely be back very soon!
