This is a wonderful vacation spot in Hancock, Maine.
The property was extremely clean, beautiful landscape and outdoor seating, very well stocked. The property was private but still close to Restaurants and stores. Beautiful views of the ocean and private beach.
The Jellison house was amazing! There were three couples in our group and this house was perfect. We loved sitting aound the firepit enjoying the sunsets and looking at the stars! The house was perfection!!
We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The location was central to exploring the entire area, Each day, we looked forward to returning to our own private view of the Maine coast line. With a well stocked kitchen and comfortable dining area, we were tempted to eat at home every night, but we’re glad to try several really good nearby options, the best of which was Ironbound. The suggested local kayak guide, Antonio, was experienced and the experience was a highlight on the vacation.
We had a wonderful time at 98 Jellison! The home was beautiful and exceeded our expectations and needs. The owners have done a great job of ensuring a comfortable and welcoming stay for their guests! The location was perfect for exploring Acadia NP and the surrounding areas. The oceanfront deck/patio was our favorite spot for sunrise coffee chats and enjoying the fire pit in the evenings! Watching seals feed was fun, and the eagle that lives in neighboring trees was an added bonus. Our group of 6 adults highly recommend 98 Jellison in Hancock!
The property was gorgeous. The view is indescribable. It might be a little further out for some people for some of the “main attractions” but the drive to get where you need to is worth it to stay in this little slice of paradise.
The property offered everything we needed - complete amenities and comfortable beds. The view was great. We appreciate all the cooking and baking instructions. They made is feel welcome and feel at home.
The house was exactly as pictured! It was very clean, well stocked cabinets (pots/pans, etc.) & pantry! Beautiful views and sun rises! There were 6 adults and we all had plenty of room - we really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening!
The property was amazing!! Spectacular view, wonderfully clean, stocked to the gills! We used the fire pit by the water’s edge, star gazed and enjoyed the quiet shore front every night. Sunrise view couldn’t have been better each morning. And the host was communicative and warmly pleasant. We’d love to come back again!!
Everything was just as described. Susan is great to work with. We spent our time in Acadia and Bar Harbor. The house was amazing with everything you would need. We felt at home. The neighbors were very friendly, and we felt safe here. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
As advertised, the location was excellent. Obviously, the owners and managers of this property take pride and in what they are providing. The house, and supplies within it, were superior. We wish we had had more time at the site and the use of its amenities. Our son and daughter wished that they had had a TV in their bedroom, but that was the only suggestion.
My wife, daughter, her husband, son, and his wife all very much enjoyed our stay at your lovely home! The home is a wonderful place to spend time just enjoying the wonderful waterfront views. We used it to explore the Bar Harbor area and ANP and also enjoyed the quieter side of Schoodic as well. An unexpected bonus was the back up generator providing power as tropical storm Phillippe came ashore and knocked down power lines.
The house is exactly as shown in the pictures. We had 5 different generations of females on this trip. The house was very comfortable for all of us to relax and sleep. The neighborhood was so quiet. The outside space for a flatland Midwest person was absolutely wonderful. Sitting outside in the sun or fog was so peaceful and calming along with watching birds and seals. Wonderful place to stay on our Maine vacation.
From the moment we opened the front door the view was unbeatable! The house met all our expectations. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean, the furniture in the living room and sitting room was comfy. The outdoor grounds were immaculate and accommodating. There was SO many household supplies readily available for your cooking and cleaning needs. Waking up to the view every morning and drinking coffee listening to the waves, birds chirping and watching the seals was so relaxing. The washer and dryer was a HUGE plus
Our family vacation plan was to explore Acadia this summer! The layout of the house was perfect for my husband, myself, our 2 adult children and their respective partners. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The house is beautiful and well appointed. The views are spectacular. We enjoyed sitting outside in the morning and evening looking at the ocean, we had a fire pit and used the grill. The kitchen was well-stocked. Everything was lovely. It is a little far from Acadia, about an hour, but we did know that going in and planned accordingly. It is a beautiful location but plan to drive a bit if you want to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia.
If you have ever dreamed of living in a house on the coast of Maine, this is the perfect spot to indulge your fantasy. The house is perfectly located in a private and quiet community. It is immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and well supplied for your comfort and convenience. Here you can experience stunning sunrises, the rise and fall of the tides, and seaside wildlife. The outside sitting area with fire pit can't be missed. What a view! Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, small coastal villages and harbors on the quiet side of Mt. Dessert Island are all close by for you to visit. The fall leaves and red cranberry fields were so pretty. The area has many great restaurants, and you can shop for food and supplies in nearby Ellsworth. My husband and I with our daughter and son-in-law spent meaningful family time here. I would love to return one day.
My husband and I rented this house with another couple who also brought along their new golden retriever puppy. From the moment you enter the first door you’ve stepped into another world. The view of the bay and the maine forests and small islands is breathtaking. The quiet is unreal. The entire scene looked like a postcard and felt like heaven. The house is equipped with everything you need to feel at home. There’s lots of information about things to do in the area but the real show is the beauty of this part of maine. It’s remote yet striking distance to great dining and Arcadia National Park. Everyone in our group pinched ourselves each morning as we watched the sunrise over the trees and sea. We listened to wolves across the bay in the distance as we warmed ourselves by the beachside bonfire. Even the puppy was so at home that he spent as much time as possibly lazily gazing out at the magnificence of nature surrounding this beautiful house. . We have stayed at many vacation rentals over the past twenty to thirty years. This house rates in the top 3. Highly recommend for family and groups looking for an exceptional getaway in a place that feels close to heaven.
What a beautiful house and setting. So much provided, which saved us from bringing so much stuff with us. Mother Nature wasn't very nice to us during our stay, but staying at this wonderful property made it all worthwhile.
