"This was probably the most beautiful place on the island! Our deck overlooked the ocean and you could even see Moai from there! The staff was so wonderful and everyone made our stay perfect!"

"Since this property is priced towards the lower end of the price spectrum, I was expecting it to be basic and no frills… The Good: - The property is situated close to corner stores (2 minutes), restaurants and souvenir shops (5-10 minutes), and the waterfront (15 minutes), if you don’t mind walking. - The wifi is strong, though a couple of times was hampered by power outages. - The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. "Beto (Father) and Tutti (son) own and operate the property. They gave us a warm welcome and ensured all our accommodation needs were satisfied. In addition, Tutti played host (required guide on the island) for the full length of our stay. He drove us around in his pickup truck and gave us detailed history of the island and the culture. "Our host Estevan was superb and very helpful!"

"Great location and plenty of support on having a great rapa nui experience. No breakfast, but the cabin has a decent kitchen and there are many markets - one even attached to the property. They even have car rental available. They connected me with a good local guide. Only two improvements would make this place perfect - ceiling fans and either a microwave or toaster oven in the kitchen (there is a toaster!). Thanks so much for making our rapa nui stay great!"

"Tatiana goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is great! There is no internet currently and only a communal television and kitchen. Although a no frills accommodation, Cabañas Makupuna makes up for it in quiet, peace, and tranquility. I most definitely would stay here again!!!!! "

"Beautiful hotel, great food, excellent service. The staff were really friendly and always looked to make our stay special. The hotel is a bit further out of town, about 40 minute walk or a quick taxi ride. Very safe to walk around and explore."

"We had a great stay here with our family of four. The location is great - we loved being close to Ahu Tahai and the walk to town was enjoyable. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Valentina was our host and she was fantastic with lots of great suggestions. The room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated being able to cook some meals and hear the ocean. I would definitely recommend staying here. "

"The hotel staff/service will welcome you when you arrive at the airport, offer you a beautiful garland, and take you to the hotel. The property is located off the center, where you need to rent a car or ATV, which the hotel also offers for a reasonable price. The hotel is clean, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers, welcoming you when you arrive. A free delicious breakfast was offered, and a ride back to the airport was also offered. Overall, it was a memorable and beautiful experience. "
