Es gab nichts zu meckern. Zimmer und Personal sehr gut. Frühstück hatten wir nicht und können somit nichts sagen. Was man besser machen könnte: Ein kleinen Punkt war nicht so gut. Auf der Rückseite des Hotels ist ein Parkhaus. Der direkte Weg zum Hotel und zum Parkhaus ist nicht gut ausgeschildert.

Nun ja, das Personal an der Rezeption. So wie in manchen Intercity-Hotels auch (zum Beispiel in Braunschweig, auch in Berlin): die eine Hälfte der Angestellten ist freundlich, zuvorkommend und gibt sich Mühe – für die andere Hälfte sind Gäste nur Störenfriede, selbst wenn sie den Aufenthalt während des Wochenendes in Hannover (Eis und Schnee) für zwei Nächte verlängern. Man tippt auf der Tastatur herum, lästig, lästig, zusätzliche Arbeit und man merkt manchen Mitarbeiterinnen an, dass sie eigentlich keine Lust haben, in diesem Hotel zu arbeiten. Noch nicht einmal professionelle Höflichkeit. Ich habe nichts getan, ich wollte nur an zwei Tagen hintereinander verlängern – und wurde in einem Fall behandelt (Samstagmorgen), als hätte ich das Frühstücksbesteck gestohlen oder meine Rechnung nicht bezahlt. Nicht alle sind so, aber einige der an der Rezeption Tätigen scheinen dringend eine Schulung zu brauchen, wie man mit Gästen umgeht. So jedenfalls nicht. Statt einem Lächeln gab es bei einigen nur saure Mienen, auch bei anderen Nachfragen. Das Reinigungspersonal war viel netter. Könnten die ihre Jobs nicht tauschen?

I stayed 7 nights in the Intercity Hotel Hannover for opera visits. During the week it is a business hotel, in the weekend visitors to the city. The housekeeping (room cleaning) is 'on request' so when you want to have a clean room, new coffee cups, fresh towels and your bed made up when coming in at the end of the day, make sure to ask at the reception at check in for housekeeping EVERY day. There was a bit confusion at the desk even when asking more than once but it worked out in the end The hotel is 2 walking minutes from the main shopping area and train station and other public transport and and about 5 minutes from the opera house. For me (walking difficulty) this was very pleasant Lots of drinkers, drug addicts and confused people in the neighborhood of the hotel. Hotel: please clean the area around the entrance of the hotel in the morning from wodka bottles and beer cans, cigarette buts and leftover food. It looks very shabby and unclean looking out when having breakfast, not very representative for a 4* hotel. I know this is a problem all over the city but the square in front of the hotel should look clean. Breakfast is fine, with enough healthy options and when the breakfast room is full and noisy, you can sit in the more quiet bar area (as I did). The hotel is comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful . My room (429) at the back was very quiet at night. Next time when in Hannover I will stay there again for the location land the clean and comfortable rooms.

This is a great hotel for those wishing to stay close to the Hannover city centre including the main train station - Hbf. There are plenty of places to eat and do shopping including the malls and restaurants within minutes. My only gripe was they key card did not work, after arriving in the hotel after a tiring journey at 10:30 pm, the last thing you want is a non-functioning key card. I had to go down 3 flights of stairs to get a new key and the receptionist was pretty non-chalant about it. This is why they lost 2 stars in my opinion
