Great staff, but the property needs refurbishing and cleaning. Many things are dingy, not working and outdated. Great location in the middle of everything. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, you won’t find it here. If you’re looking to be in the action for a very cheap price and an ok private en-suite room this is for you.

The thing about this Hotel that I appreciated the most was the staff. They all went above & beyond for me, my partner, and friends during our stay. They were extremely accommodating to our specific needs of the trip. Arranging taxis, tours, and syncing up our booking with our friends etc. Viet was extremely welcoming and informative during our entire stay. He gave tons of amazing recommendations for food and sites to see. The rooms were extremely clean and cozy. The breakfast and coffee served here was also awesome! The banana pancakes are a must try! I will definitely be returning to Finnegans hotel when I return to Hanoi!

직원분들은 친절하시고 좋았는데, 문제는 동남아지만 추워서 떨면서 잤구요 침구가 그렇게 깨끗하진않아요ㅜㅜ 청소는해주시지만... 저렴해서그런가싶고... 제일큰 문제는 뜨거운물이 안나와서 냉수샤워....ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ추운게 젤 힘들었어요 생각보다 그렇게 씨끄럽진않았고 테라스가 너무 좋았어요ㅎㅎㅎ 추천 비추천 반반입니다....하핳 저렴하면됬지모하면 추천이구요 위치가 너무좋거든요ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

This is a wonderful family owned hotel. The owner was so friendly and accommodating. He helped me easily book a car to the airport and at an incredibly reasonable price, no rip offs here! They also offered to print out my boarding pass (something I didn’t even think to ask.) The staff was always so friendly through my whole stay and the rooms were comfortable and clean! My only complaint would be, certain sides of the hotel boarder with the hostel next door so if you are a light sleeper it could be a problem. Just be sure to ask for a quieter room and you’ll be golden! I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Hanoi! :)

I was so happy to be there. Especially staff was so kind and nice. Although it was little noisy around my room, but not so much to bother my sleeping. The best thing here is hotel location which is in center of many entertainments.

가성비가 좋아요

일단 하노이에서 가성비가 좋은것 같아요. 객실도 깨끗하고 엘리베이터도 있고, 특히 전 흡연자인데 방에 작은 테라스가 있고 거기 작은 테이블이랑 의자가 있어서 흡연하기 좋더라구요. 그리고 주변에 필요한 시설들은 다 있는것 같아요. 비록 시내에서는 좀 멀고, 조금 외지긴 하지만요. 다만 수건을 바스타올 2장만 주네요. 일반 세면타올은 주지 않더군요. 그리고 밤이되면 주변에 노상술집이 많은지 좀 늦게까지 시끄럽습니다. 그것 빼곤 다 좋았어요.

The manager was extremely helpful. He gave me a map and great suggestions of where to eat in the city. The hotel is in an exciting area with lots of food, bars and clubs. I would strongly recommend staying here, especially if you like to party at night. It’s cheap too.

여기가 왜 평이 높은지 모르겠네요~ 직원인지 사장님인지..여튼 친절하긴 합니다 그런데 딱 거기까지구요~ 시설 별로에요, 방 좁구요, 옷장이 없고..옷 두벌 걸 수있는 옷걸이모양 거치대?있어요 그리고 이불이 뽀송하지 않고..뭔가 덜마른 것 같았어요(비가와서 그럴수도?) 에어컨에서 물도 떨어지구요ㅠ 그리고 최악은 샤워기에요 진짜 여행 꽤 다녀봤는데 이런 샤워기 첨봤어요ㅋㅋ 샤워기에서 물이 안개미스트처럼 나오는데 완전 따갑게 나와요.........가까이,멀리 어떻게 사용해도 따가워요 물이 안개미스트처럼 나오는데 수압도 미스트처럼 아주아주 약합니다!!! 그런데 따가워요ㅠㅠ 머리감다 화병날뻔....ㅜㅜㅜ 그리고 호텔이 골목에 있는데, 이 골목에 차 진입금지에요(차 못들어옵니다) 또 가장 기분이 나빴던거는 제가 현지에서 투어예약을 했는데(호텔에서 한거 아닙니다) 픽업을 아침8시15분~8시45분 사이에 오니, 호텔로비에서 기다리면 가이드가 저를 데리러온다고 했는데요. 당일 아침7시50분에 로비에서 전화가 오더라구요 (가이드가 널 데리러왔다고) 그래서 알겠다 하고 내려가려고 마지막 짐 챙기고 있는데, 누가 방문을 두드립디다~가이드 였어요 내려오라고 전화한지 2분 지났었어요 왜 기분이 나쁘냐면, 내 방번호을 왜 마음대로 알려주는거죠? 여튼 이 이야기를 빼도, 여긴 별로였어요 다시는 이용하고 싶지 않아요!

I have never felt safer or more comfortable or better taken care of in any hotel. Just exceptional in every way. The staff are lovely and kind and super helpful, and the hotel and associated travel agency are run like clockwork. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an outstanding hotel experience -- just like home only better than home!

Appalling Service!!! DO NOT STAY!!!

Most shocking hotel service at Finnegans in Hanoi!! This was not the usual treatment one expects in Vietnam. The lobby manager was horrible!!! We are three travelers and I (male) booked this hotel since it had a "Fabulous 8.6 Rating" and was close to our previous V Maison Hotel, who were booked and had no spare rooms for the mother-daughter to change in. We needed a place to house our luggage and change clothes for last-minute massage and shopping, before flying out on the redeye. However, the Finnegans manager refused access for the senior to retrieve her luggage. I was appalled! I told him I would not use the room so he could still keep the two-person occupancy rule, but he still refused since my name was on the booking. His behavior was most shocking and unacceptable. Every Viet hotel we had stayed at provided excellent service—more typical was they go out of their way to please us. For example, Cherry at Holiday Villa in Hoi An helped arrange a taxi to get us out of this horrible hotel experience. (This same manager also scolded a young family of four for touching the aquarium display set out at the street entrance—they were drawn by the fish in the tank.) And when we asked for his name and his managers/owners, he refused to provide us the info to document this tragic incident. Please DO NOT stay at this hotel!

The stay was amazing. the location is also perfect. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. The WiFi could be improved though.
