The breakfast was great and fresh. The view was fantastic. Handy umbrella for the rain. Staff very friendly and had great ideas for sightseeing. Room clean and comfortable. Terrific location. Would definitely recommend.

Loved the location and room space

Very spacious rooms. Great service. Location is excellent, in the middle of the interesting busy streets of Hanoi. We really liked it here. Breakfast was just ok, though. But apart from that, very recommended.

I felt a very warm welcome from both Tommy and Maz, throughout my stay they have been very helpful and mindful of my hapiness, the rooms and atmosphere are also very nice with a great location, many food and shops all around, I would come back!

Good value..I'd stay again

Big room with comfy bed and pillows... only downside of being in the large room was the elevator goes to 6 and the room is on 8...front desk is attentive and goes out of their way to be helpful...I highly recommend this hotel

Lovely place in the heart of the Old Quarter. 2 small waters supplied every day. Fridge,kettle and coffee. Front desk booked my transportation to my next stop. Great staff. They also do laundry

The front desk receptionist is pretty nice and professional. Also, the location is great, located in tourist spots. However, the bet sheet, the bath towels, the pillow are covered with dusts.

The front desk staff we incredibly helpful and nice. After I mentioned my allergy and that I would just have some fruit for breakfast, one front desk girl went across the street to buy some yogurt so that I would have something to eating in the morning. The staff is the main thing that made this hotel better than the others.

Tommy is the best! He goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We arranged trips and completed a satisfying travel itinerary with his help. The beds are comfortable, and the room is spacious. His friendliness was much appreciated!

This hotel is right in the Old Quarter and very convenient to get around. The staff are very sweet and helpful with good English. The rooms are as we expected. Beds are firm as normal in SE Asia and rooms are comfortable. I had an issue with the shower flooding the first night and was given soiled towels to mop up the water! Not a great start. Breakfast was adequate with eggs cooked to order- fruit and toast were also available. We had to keep asking for more plates which was strange. Note that the lift goes up to the 6th floor only, so if you’re on floor 7 or 8 you have to carry suitcases up flights of stairs. Good value hotel with lovely staff.

Perfect stay!

We absolutely loved our stay in Hotel La Castella! The staff were the friendliest, most welcoming people we have met on our trip so far. Tommy Lee and Lee made sure we had everything we needed and we felt very well looked after. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Our room was beautiful. We were upgraded when we first arrived as we had got to the hotel early! We loved it so much that we came back to stay again after our trip to Halong bay. They even sent us off with some fruit and croissants for the journey. The location couldn’t be better, right next to all the top spots in Hanoi Old Quarter and just a few minutes to the ‘heart of the city’ Lake. We would highly recommend Hotel La Castella and will be letting our friends and family know how great it is! Thank you to all the staff!

The night manager gave a house guest the master key to get into their room. The drunk house guest then tried to get into my room at 4am thinking it was their room. Unbelievably the night manager didn't ask what room they were staying in or accompany the gust to the room ! Absolutely astonishing. Hotel is in any case very grubby. Very run down. The walls are dirty and need to be painted. The bed was the worst I have slept in. Sagging in the middle and lumpy. Clearly the cheapest mattress they could find probably. Checked into another (cheaper) hotel for the next night which was 10 times better ! Probably the worst hotel experience in 30 years of travel.
