It is brand new construction, similar to a vacation condo type unit, split level, and shares a common driveway and a very large outdoor deck on the fjord with three other units of similar vintage. "Great hotel in great location for exploring Alesund on foot. Limited hotel parking, but there's a parking garage nearby (about £20 per day). Good breakfast, but some hot items are in short supply at times. In the evening, the restaurant meals are good, although the menu is a big limited."
