Beautiful Beachfront House With Amazing Views!

Walk right onto three and a half miles of quiet, uncrowded beach that makes the perfect backdrop for dolphin watching, shelling, surf-fishing, crabbing, swimming, biking, or just enjoying the day and evening. Panoramic views of St. Helena Sound as it blends into the Atlantic Ocean. Watch both the sunrise and sunset from your back porch balconies. Enjoy daily dolphins shows as they feed and play up and down the beach. There is also plenty of white, soft sand to just put your feet on.

This Gated community affords its visitors the ability to enjoy the sunny beaches on one side of the Island and observe the natural beauty of the Low Country marshes on the other. The island is a registered bird sanctuary with its multiple rookeries. Wonderful wildlife making their homes on Harbor Island include osprey, egrets, and a wide variety of birds.


Golf is just a few minutes away from Harbor Island. PGA Champion Davis Love III's signature Ocean Creek course is 10 minutes away as is Ocean Point, a George Cobb designed course which offers challenging golf and fabulous ocean views.

Our home is approximately 3000 square feet. It features heart of pine floors throughout the entire house. The kitchen was just renovated with top of the line (stainless) appliances , granite countertops, and a wet bar with wine cooler. The large open floor living room has vaulted ceilings and plenty of windows that face the beach. There is an outside hot water shower on the lower level of the home. The Master bedroom is upstairs and has a King size bed, a master bath with a jetted Jacuzzi tub and separate shower, and a private balcony that faces the ocean. There is a very large master bedroom closet that has a queen bed in it perfect for kids. The other bedroom upstairs has a queen size bed and a full bathroom right down the hall. There are two bedrooms downstairs: One bedroom with its own bathroom and a queen bed. The other bedroom also has a queen bed. There is a half bathroom in the main area as well.
There are plenty of parking spaces available in front of the house.
During peak season, May 20th thru September 15th, the minimum nightly stay is seven days.

Great vacation!

Had a wonderful time! The house is perfectly situated on the sound so that you can experience the sunrise and sunset. We saw dolphins up close every day which was such a treat!

Best Family Vaca

Picturesque house and views in a wonderful neighborhood made a relaxing getaway for all the family. We spent much of our time on the back porch just watching shrimp boats go by and dolphins swim so close to the beach.

Spectacular

Great location for a relaxing vacation. House had all the amenities needed. Beach was marvelous and extremely open. We maybe saw a handful of people each day mostly walking the beach. Host was very interactive and responsive. Hope to stay here again soon!

Fantastic Beachfront Stay!

The property was located in a beautiful and well kept private neighborhood that had all the amenities we needed! Being able to walk right out to the beach from the house was convenient and great with little kids and lots of stuff. The house had beautiful views of the sunset and sunrise and we saw dolphins several times throughout each day which everyone loved, especially the kids. We will definitely want to stay here again!

Fantastic Stay at the Dolphin Den!

Although our time was cut short by tropical storm Debby, we enjoyed every minute that we had at the Dolphin Den. Mercedes is the BEST property manager that I've ever worked with, and I look forward to booking this house again next year (or hopefully sooner). We had 8 people and plenty of room, and could have easily fit more. Loved the different porches to enjoy the ocean view.

Beautiful views

The house is well stocked and plenty of room for a family of 11. The beach was steps away and the views of sunrise and sunset were amazing. We saw dolphins every day and used the kayaks to fish and tour the sandbars. We loved the rockers on the porch overlooking the beach! Our only issues were the clutter under the house and the small dining table. We ate most of our meals at the house and seating was limited to 9 total seats.

Vacation Vibes

Our family had a wonderful time together. The house had plenty of room and we loved being steps away from the ocean. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely beautiful. We also enjoyed the views and sounds of the ocean on the back porch. It was a nice surprise to have a fenced in area for our grand dog. We had a wonderful time and Mercedes was terrific in answering any questions. She was a pleasure to work with. It was a fabulous vacation. We absolutely loved the location and not having a crowded beach. Loved it!!

What a grand family vacation!

We all had a great time at this perfectly- located home. The pictures are accurate; the home is directly on the beach and spacious inside. When we first arrived, the wind was blowing and the waves were crashing AND we so enjoyed watching and marveling at the bravery of those who "go to sea". And then the ocean calmed down and we enjoyed the beach. One wonderful surprise was the number of dolphins. We have never seen so many dolphins at one time who leisurely "fished". It was super. This home has something for everyone! Thank you, Mercedes!

Excellent house, excellent stay

The beach house was everything we wanted it to be. It was clean, very tastefully decorated, with plenty of dishes, pots, and pans in the kitchen. The main porch facing the ocean was comfortable and provided amazing views of the ocean with plenty of room for us all to spread out. The weather was beautiful and dolphins frequented the shoreline every day. The beach was very clean, private, and so beautiful to walk during sunrise. Mercedes was quick to answer any question we had and so kind to offer to send us items we left behind. I would highly recommend this beach house to anyone ~ you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Mercedes for an awesome vacation!

Literally - right on the sand

My husband and our 2 friends stayed off season - in January. The location is unbeatable - water views in three directions. Exactly what we were seeking.Mercedes is a gem. Responsive, quick, problem solver, and a delight.Unlike other rental homes we’ve stayed in, this house has a lot of personal items about. At first disconcerting but on the bright side if you forgot something, say detergent or sunglasses or bathrobes you would most likely find them in a closet or drawer. We felt like guests in someone’s beach home rather than renters of a vacation listing.Outweighing the above is the location. I might have been tempted to give 4 stars but the beach access and Mercedes pushed it to 5.

Wonderful House, Beach, Neighborhood, and Host

This was our annual beach vacation with our children and grandchildren. This was our first trip to Harbor Island. The house was perfect for our family with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. A large living room with multiple comfortable places to lounge. The house was far from neighbors as compared to most beach houses. The kitchen was very well stocked with kitchen utensils and all the hardware needed to feed a large family. The beach was very unpopulated for mid-June. The beach is wide and flat and very clean and pretty. We had a total of 6 turtle nests immediately in front of the house. Three of the nests arrived while we were there. The neighborhood is a clean well maintained gated community. The host is ready to respond immediately to any questions you have. You can't go wrong with this house.

Thanksgiving on Harbor Island

It's hard to beat the location of this home - it's sitting right on the beach, with stunning views from nearly every room in the house. The weather was spectacular for a week that could have easily been in the 50s - we were treated to temps in the upper 70s to near 80 with clear skies daily! The home was clean, the kitchen well stocked with all necessary cooking 'gear' (we used some of it to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner - most of which we ordered from "The Kitchen" in Beaufort - DELICIOUS), and plenty of towels/toiletries available. We spent the majority of our time on the beach, or out and about, but when in the home - we enjoyed every moment. At NO fault to the property - the weather did bring out the flies/beach gnats that snuck their way into the house, and hung out all over the kitchen area, but again, this is strictly due to the unseasonably warm week, and they were hard to avoid. The gated community hosts a half-court basketball court (which we used every day), pickle ball courts, a split fitness center, and a pool (closed for season during our visit), so it's easy to enjoy several days to a week+ here. Overall, we WILL be back, and Mercedes, the property manager, is SO accessible and on the ball, she made it easier than one would expect! THANK YOU Harbor Island - for all of the memories!
