"I stated AI with my sister for a relaxing weekend. The rooms were spotless, with daily cleaning service. Breakfast was the standout meal with lots of choice and nice juices. We received a complimentary two-hour spa entry, which was a great perk. If you're not all-inclusive, it’s well worth the €11 entry fee, as the spa offers a sauna, steam room, bubble jets etc. both inside and out pool. We also treated ourselves to a massage, which was excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel has three pools not including the Spa- one is salt water. There was plenty of seating areas to relax. There are three bars, each offering a good selection of drinks, with the piano bar having the widest variety. It would be good to have had a menu so guests were aware what is included in the ‘all inclusive’. The hotel is less than 10 minutes by car to Puerto del Carmen, we found a costal walk which takes about 45 mins with beautiful views or the hotel has a shuttle service, which runs frequently throughout the day. A taxi from the hotel to Puerto del Carmen costs around €8 and the hotel is conveniently located close to the airport, with a taxi ride costing approximately €25. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, especially the reception team. Our flight was in the evening and we were allowed to use the AI until 6pm, which was so helpful. "Beautiful hotel, comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast was delicious and drinks were fantastic. We are fans of the Mango Mojotos! We stayed at the Preferred section (which for those who can should stay at)-we literally checked in and unplugged. No thought about what was covered and what wasn’t. There are parts that are starting to show some wear but the staff was accommodating and gracious about everything. We walked to the marina area nearby and down the trail along the coast and it was beautiful. Highly recommend for a quick gaunt from Europe."

"Just had an excellent 4 days in this spotlessly clean, friendly hotel. All the staff went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful, giving local information and providing a really personal service. Breakfast was high quality, delicious and unusually, different every day. Restaurant staff were welcoming, very efficient and aimed to keep all the food topped up and tables cleared. Our room was bright, with a huge bed, plenty of space in the shower and a large area around the sink. Our good sized balcony looked out over the sandy bay and was great for relaxing and people watching. There were many cafes, small supermarkets and restaurants close by with a pleasant walk to the main lagoon area with more attractions. The bus station was a 10 minute walk with links to all areas of the island. Our room was very quiet especially when the balcony doors were closed. Air conditioning was available but we did not need it. There was a free safe. We felt our whole stay was extremely good value for money. Thank you to everyone involved in making our stay special. Only downside was the pool was cold! "

"We are genuinely puzzled by some very harsh negative reviews. Yes, the hotel could do with some TLC but it needs to be compared to its Canarian competitors in the same price range. And there we find it good value. We again found it clean enough, bedding and towels changed regularly and with plenty to eat, Large rooms with private balconies nearly all with Sea/Pool views. We had a few maintenance issues, all of which were resolved quickly with the longest taking 48 hours. Food included roast joints, many species of fish, stroganoff, lots of salads, fruit etc. Being mid Atlantic, we would particularly encourage people to try all the varieties of fish even if you have never heard of them. Cost a fortune in UK. Admittedly they are not so good at chips. The staff are friendly and helpful, almost family. Sometimes though they are very busy, there can be 800 guests all wanting breakfast at the same time. They cater to guests from all over Europe so not all the staff are English fluent. Pick quieter times and double check they do understand your English. We tend to use a lot of cliches, idioms and sometimes say “can you” when we mean “will you”. Noise pretty much goes by 11.30pm although the Ents team will get louder as the older winter crowd are replaced by the summer families. Yes, the Spa needs some work but closing it would be a big impact on the guests for that month. Unlike mainland hotels, this hotel is nearly full all year round. And a shout out to Ellis"
