"We had an amazing time on the trip! The host was amazing with communication and answering any questions that came up. The caboose itself was super comfortable and spacious. We really appreciated the pet friendly aspect and our dog had a wonderful time on the property!"

"They were so nice! Super clean, great place to stay!"

"This place was absolutely fantastic. My wife and I were looking for a getaway and this was just it. We had absolutely zero cell phone service, no wi-fi, plenty of DVDs to watch. We must have watched 30 movies. I did take the TV and DVD player down to the couch sitting area. It's so far secluded back in nature that you literally see nobody. It is exactly what we were looking for and we will definitely be back. Town is about 10 to 15 minutes away and do not let the creek crossing to the property...

"We went to Jeff City for a weekend trip and this place was perfect! It's the perfect location to walk anywhere you want and perfect for the Penitentiary if it's on your list. The place was clean and had everything we needed! AGAIN, it was perfect! The host was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had! Would stay here again."

"Check in was easy, the beds were comfortable, and there was good off street parking. It's a fine choice if there are three or fewer people in your group and you don't want to go with a hotel. Some things I wish I had realized ahead of time: There are only three comfortable places to sit in the living room, a loveseat and an armchair. If you have more than three people, the others will have to sit on a backless metal barstool or the floor. The house is cooled by two small window units neither of...

"This property continually canceled my booking for no real reason. They said my card was not going through, but all my other bookings went through on my same card with no problem. I tried to book this house three times and every time Expedia would say I still had the booking so I would go to check in and the property management company would say that they emailed me to let me know the booking was 😡 This was a huge inconvenience and left me with no where to stay twice on my trip. I finally just...

"It was overall a great experience for the whole family."

"Great property in a convenient location"

"Great place to stay for our basketball team. We had plenty of room to sleep and to eat."

"What winery?! We did not visit nor have any winery experience. "

"This was a charming stay. It really did feel like stepping back in time, only much more comfortable with excellent climate control and great mattresses on the beds! Plenty of room, quiet, and quaint details. So fun!"

"A phenomenal stay. Great atmosphere; a truly unique experience with the artwork as well as tongue-in-cheek names for the spaces. By far our favorite spot during our week-long travels across Missouri. Great location. An amazing house - a historic home in every sense of the word; and the best value of any place we stayed. Coupled with exceptional places to eat or have a drink within walking distance, and even more within a 2-mile drive, staying at the Big House made Jefferson City our...

"Clean and perfect location. Hot tub and message chair were great! "

"It is a beautiful, quiet country setting and you can walk to the riverbank from the place."

"Chris was awesome love the place!! Great and clean!!"

"Very easy to work with!"
