Royal Inn & Suites
"Friends and I stayed at the Royal Inn in Mountain Grove, MO, Sept 26-29, 2026. The floors were clean, the counters, sink, tub, and furnishings were wiped down. The sheets were crisp and the weighted spread was very nice. That said, there are some maintenance issues: The plugs for electric cords that one finds on the lamp bases were so loose as to be nearly useless and potentially hazardous. There are no ports for computer or phone cords. No coffee maker or clock. Faucet handles are loose and damage to walls needs to be repaired. However: The refrigerator works *very* well as does the microwave. The breakfast is a bit sparse, but what is presented is fresh and the coffee is good. Portable grills are available and there's wood to use. The staff are some of the most friendly, cheerful, helpful, and cooperative folk I've found in my travels. That's why, when I need to go back to Mountain Grove, MO, I'll be staying at The Royal Inn and Suites. I can deal with the (mostly) minor cosmetic and convenience issues, but I won't deal with surly staff."

"This hotel is budget friendly, the staff is kind and helpful and the facilities are clean. The continental breakfast includes, milk, juice, cereal, bagels, toast, pop tarts, cereal bars, coffee, and boiled eggs. The rooms are clean and fully stocked with extra towels and toilet paper. I had a 2 queen beds rooms with a microwave and refrigerator. The hotel is located near restaurants, gass and Walmart."

"This is a great property with a readily responsive host. A lot of room both inside and out to do just about anything you’d want to do. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, although, don’t forget to bring paper plates and cups if you’re more than just a couple of people. The place was clean as all get out. The WiFi worked great. Plenty of parking. Don’t be in a hurry going down the gravel hill; you may find yourself sliding past the driveway the first time. The location is great: easy access to Springfield, canoeing and SMORR within 30-60 minutes. Beautiful country. I’m not a hunter but I’d bet the place is a great home base. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent here again."
