Liono was such a special place to stay. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was superb, with so many offerings! We love to walk, so the 15 minute walk to town was to our liking. Everything about Liono suited us and we would stay again if we are in the area!

First off: The staff was phenomenal! From the front desk, to the restaurant (thanks for preparing my complimentary Tiramisu at 10:45pm!), to the cleaning crew, they were all amazing.
The hotel has the best location given that is is right on the Markplatz. Easy walk to explore the town. Added bonus is the parking onsite for 10 Euros a day.
The room was bigger than I needed it to be, since it was over two stories. But it was very clean and pretty modern. Very comfortable bedding.

The room was clean and confortable. It had a wonderful view of the mountains and of nature.
I highly recommend it. The staff was very helpful, I forgot a personal item, and they were kind enough to send it back right away.

Hotel location is on quiet neighborhood, about 10min walk from village center. Hotel yard areas was under construction, but we were on hotel at weekend so construction works didn't bother us. Room was clean, but it smelled little bit musty. Staff was really friendly and breakfast was plenty enough and really tasty.

This is my 16th trip to Germany. The Torfhaus Resort rates as one of the best experiences that I have ever had. The location is perfect for hiking, biking, sightseeing or just relaxing. It is in the forest, but close to Altenau, Braunlage and other larger communities. The cottages are in excellent shape with the most modern appliances. Staff is very professional and always on duty.
