"Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. There website needs updating urgently because directions to the hotel are wrong and confusing. There also needs to be a direct number to the Stag because at the moment if you phone the number on the website it puts you through to a hotel in Bournemouth where staff cannot help you or give you information about directions or any other help."

When I arrived the guy on the desk said 3 nights for 3 people (I corrected him - 2 nights for 1 person) I was then shown to a single room which I assume he hadn’t planned to give me. He quickly removed what appeared to be used towels from the bathroom and replaced them. "Nice place with air-conditioner. Safe and quiet. Would be nice if there's a towel hanger in the bathroom or even one or two hangers in the closet. Other than that, all good. "

"Good location but very limited evening bus service from the airport. The 308 arrives at the airport from Great Dunmow at about 21.20 and returns immediately to Takeley, before going out of service. My driver was prepared to take me to Takeley Street / Stansted Airport Lodge as it was on her way back to the depot. This bus isn't shown on any of the airport timetables."

"Nice very remote location, pub very nice, room however had issues, door handle came off, shower tray stained and dirty, dressing table and bedside tables very sticky, fan had the front missing so not usable, room not ready at 3.00. Needs TLC to make it worth the price charged."

"Excellent staff! It was so easy to check-in and we had no problems. You can purchase breakfast at a low price and it was great value. The location cannot be beat as it's very close to the rail station. There are so many restaurants, pubs and stores within easy walking distance."
