"I was genuinely impressed with my stay. Check-in was seamless and warmly welcoming — the staff member who greeted me (I wish I’d caught her name) was attentive, engaging, and full of interesting conversation. She shared her own travel stories from Oxford and London, and even remembered I had an early departure, thoughtfully arranging a breakfast to take with me — a lovely touch. The room itself was outstanding — easily the best night’s sleep I had during my time in Japan. The location is ideal: peaceful and tucked away from the crowds, offering a real sense of escape. Dinner was pleasant, though not the highlight — the food was fine and service was great, but it’s not somewhere you’d come for a culinary standout. That said, during the day you can enjoy the street food stands nearby and opt for a lighter meal in the evening. "

"This place was amazing! We arrived early to the hotel as we had taken the ferry over early in the morning. They were able to store our bags for the day and placed them in our rooms when the room was ready. Someone was at the door of the hotel ready to greet you as you came in. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed in it. We unfortunately did not get to take advantage of the onsen, because we were exhausted after walking so much. The view from our room was amazing, looking out over the roof of the hotel and down on cherry trees, where both birds and deer gathered. At about six pm we had a knock on the door and two gentlemen came and made up our Japanese style beds for us. The only bad thing for us was that we only booked one night here. We would have stayed on the island much longer at at this hotel longer if we had the time."

"This quaint little hostel in the country was our first experience at a hostel. People were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. The room we had chosen was a Japanese style room. We got to the room and at bedtime had to make our beds on the floor (not complaining just stating facts). There was a cafe in the lobby/lounge area. The food was good and pretty inexpensive. The place is also filled with manga, ping pong, game systems and other fun things for guests to do. Other rooms were themed rooms (as one of the other guests was very excited about their space themed room). The hostel was about a five-ten minute walk from a small train stop that took you to hiroshima or to the ferry for miyajima."

"Absolutely fabulous hotel on Miyajima. The dinner and breakfast were beautiful and all of the staff were superb and friendly. Well worth it for a treat!"
