"This house is situated brilliantly for a rural holiday in France with great local towns, a near lake and lots of choice for restaurants within a short drive. We loved the terrace where we ate every day shaded by a glorious vine. The owners lived next door and were very helpful. Sadly when we were there they were not offering diner."

"We had a superb stay. It was the first time we'd been to that part of France. The gîte was lovely, well equipped and full of character. Our kids absolutely loved the pool and garden. They would have been happy with 7 days of swimming and table tennis. We did end up hanging out by the pool at some point every day. "The gite was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The pool and garden area was amazing and our teenagers would have happily spent all day, everyday in there. Location is remote, a car is a must. We also hired bikes but found the area very hilly so you need to be fit! Nearest town is Ambazac which is lovely with shops, a couple of bars and places to eat. "We were staying in France for the World Shearing and Woolhandling Championships in Le Dorat. The house was great. Easy to find, very quiet area and on a working farm. Plenty of space - for little ones to run about, very clean, everything you could possibly need in a house was there. Beds were comfortable.
