"We stayed here in July for one night and it was like being invited to a house party. The welcome could not have been friendlier. The accommodation was perfect and the little terrace was bathed with early evening sunshine, very pleasant. The Air con was very welcome later though. My wife and I were looking for a base to stay for 11 days in the Perigord / North Dordogne to allow us to explore the area and found this fantastic "petit chateau" on the outskirts of Thiviers. A large villa in its own extensive garden with plenty of space in which to relax. William the host and Joseph the chef were very friendly, relaxed and attentive. "Quiet, countryside property. Lovely swimming pool. Comfortable, well equipped gite. Good to have some English TV channels as well as French. The only disadvantage was that the Wi-Fi signal was poor in the first few days and then totally non-existent in the next week. There was also no phone signal so could not use internet at all for most of the time. It was about an hour’s drive to several interesting small towns, chateaux and caves. Local lake was nice for picnics and walks."

"I had a great time staying with Virginie and Jennie at Sur le Chemin des Sens. Its the perfect place for relaxing and the food is outstanding. I don't think I've ever felt so 'at home' away from home and the commitment and passion to making every guest feel very welcome is obvious. "Staffs were welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast was very nice with delicious home made cake and jams. We got a tour in the property that have many animals and fish. The place was easy to find with Google Map and rooms were clean. It was an excellent place to stay for us from Hong Kong. "

"We spent nearly 3 weeks at this wonderful rustic Gite. The Gite itself was perfect for us as a couple and a great terrace with lots of areas to sit around and read and eat. The Pool area was fantastic and we enjoyed memorable days. The location was great for all the wonderful places to see in the Dordodgne. The hosts were very accomodating. "Beautiful cottage just outside of town. Had everything we needed to stay comfortably and even cook our own breakfast. Hosts were gracious and conveyed everything we needed to know even though they spoke very little English and we speak NO French! No AC but we were comfortable with the fan even during a heat wave."
