About this property

Hafod, Holiday Home Broad Haven, Sleeps 4, 2 bedrooms, bathrooms

  • Hafod is a detached bungalow set above the popular seaside village of Broad Haven. Comfortably and simply furnished with large picture windows, the spacious L-shaped lounge/diner is the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. A small sun room leads out to a lovely, sheltered and enclosed garden with sloping lawn, mature shrubs and fruit trees.Conveniently located, it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet just a 200 yard downhill walk takes you to the popular village pub, restaurants, shop and cafe on the seafront, as well as a water sports hire shop ideal for surfers and other water sports enthusiasts. Spend your days on the beach or take to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to explore this stunning coastline, at low tide you can stroll along the beach to the neighbouring village of Little Haven with its pretty sheltered in-let and excellent pubs and restaurants, popular with sailors and kayakers; this village lies just over the headland. In the other direction are the pretty coves of Druidston and Nolton Haven.A little further afield is the glorious long sandy beach of Newgale also popular with surfers and families and well catered for with a seaside cafe, pub and shop, while to the south lies the Dale peninsula with a selection of wonderful beaches.Hafod is the perfect base for a couple or small family to enjoy all year round. One Level Accommodation - This denotes that a bedroom, bathroom or shower room, whb/wc, living area and kitchen are on one level - guests must check the property access statement on the website or request a copy via email to base their decision on, if this is important to your stay.

Good location and very good communication pre stay. Upon reaching the property the initial impression was one of a clean and tidy home. However on deeper inspection the property needs a deep clean and considerable modernisation. The kitchen utensils need replacing as the frying pans are very old and the knives are very blunt. The plate cupboard feels like it is about to fall off the wall and in fact won’t close with the plates inside. The bathroom is very dated and doesn’t even have a working lock. The shower is ok but the shower attachment to the taps leaks. Many years of dust sit on the light. Overall as a base to get out and explore it was good but it would not take a lot of money to make it a repeat destination.
